Doesn't Wake take a lot of downfield chances? Surely Prister is considering that in his accuracy assessment.
Gotta go all the way back to 2020If Hartman is at ND next season, Notre Dame will have a better QB than 11 of the 12 teams they face. At least on paper. It’s been a while since we could say that.
Ian Book wasn't that talented.Gotta go all the way back to 2020
If you're going to use that logic, Brady Quinn and Jimmy Clausen weren't that talent either.Ian Book wasn't that talented.

The fact that Freeman was tweeting all these plays has to mean they know something.Sounds like the beat writers expect news today
Yeppers. Loy more or less confirmed Hartman is on campus todaySounds like the beat writers expect news today
May your cup overrun with Kool-Aid14-0 season incoming
Ian Book is arguably the best modern qb ND has had.Ian Book wasn't that talented.

I'm not worried about Clemson they lose a lot on defense and we ran all over them. Ohio State we should be able to score all over their defense isn't that good but I'm concerned about stopping their offense. Same with USC, I'm not worried about their offense but their defense won't be good again, they looked like trash against Tulane. We should have no problem putting up 40 PPG next year.14-0 season incoming

That's purely fictional I'm sure.I heard this interesting theory once that college football is not the same as NFL.
Based on that theory, a few coaches have attempted to win championships with guys like Stetson Bennett, Tim Tebow, and Troy Smith.
Didn’t finish the article to see how they did. Doubt it worked.
I'd take my chance with Heisman trophy winning quarterbacks or a guy who finished 4th.I heard this interesting theory once that college football is not the same as NFL.

All we're really asking a QB to do is win college football games. Let's be real, is Stenson Bennett going to make it in the NFL? Odds are not at all or even close to reality, and the dude is about to win his second Natty. We don't need top 5 NFL picks at the position, we need good college QB's surrounded by NFL talent at the skill positions. Good skill positions and OL play can make nearly all scholarship QB's productive. We need to be at or above Ian Book talent level at the QB position every year and at or above the 2015 offense talent level every year. When that's the case, we'll be safely in the upper tier of college football programs.Book was a very good college quarterback and I am glad he was Irish. But the between have 3-4 play makers on the defense as opposed to 8-9 at the nfl is a huge difference.
Give me the star college QB to win big games that will be mediocre at the NFL.
