I was put on Mounjaro six months ago and along with that I have done a keto based intermittent fasting model and have lost 70 lbs since starting Mounjaro.

Clocked in at 265. Now 195 yesterday.

That’s awesome!
I have a hard time getting below 200. My weight when I got out of the service almost 30 years ago was 189. I’ve always had a wide frame.

I started at 235-240 and have been stuck between 200-205, but I look pretty thin. I’m been in a “maintain” mode since October. Still Keto, but not doing a calorie deficit anymore.

I think this is the general consensus and pretty logical. Idk what Blazers is talking about? Lol

You do know that all of these things can be true?
1) you like Tyler
2) you want Sam
3) you think Tyler is still the future beyond Sam
1 and 2 but Buchner is going to have to improve a ton. If hes the man, great. If not, next man in.

Fans gotta stop projecting QB's futures - especially in this environment with the Portal. I don't care if Tyler starts or Hartman starts or if Minchey becomes boy wonder. What matters is there enough depth in the QB room to have serious competition to make all candidates better. The next year we should have Carr too. So who cares who starts as long as its a very full room pushing each other to be the best. I just want Hartman to come aboard to complete the room for next year.

The QBs have their options to - and if they don't like it, they leave like Pyne did.

Perfect post. In two years Buchner could be playing WR. Who knows.

I've actually thought about that. He definitely has the frame, speed, and moves. Doubt it ever happens but if Hartman comes in, I may consider it if I'm the staff. Just an idea.

Good. I think all the people that think Buchner is the future are the same people that would return to an abusive relationship. Not a popular take on this board because we won the super bowl yesterday but dem be the facts. Buchner played great.
He said he changed tho.

My secretary’s husband is a Mounjaro rep. Sells it all over northern Indiana and Southeast Michigan. Based on what he’s told me it’s a legit game changer for weight loss.

No.
It’s like every other blood sugar hormone drug.
It’s for extremely overweight type 2 diabetics.
But if you count on only the injection, & don’t maintain a healthy lifestyle with exercise & diet, you gain the weight back & the injections won’t work moving forward.
If you are overweight & not diabetic & take the injections them you will screw up your blood sugar & regain the weight plus more.

Exercising, dieting & keeping your blood sugar normal is more effective than Mounjaro for diabetics. And much, much more effective and safe for non-diabetics.

The purpose of Mounjaro is to help extremely obese diabetics a chance to lose weight, but they have to exercise & diet also, but it’s no different than every other injection of it’s kind before & its not a game changer. It’s temporary only. And the weight will come back if the patient doesn’t change lifestyle.

I mean, yeah, it’s for diabetics. I don’t think you can even get it if you aren’t. It’s helped quite a few folks I know and others I’ve heard about anecdotally.

Edit: Apparently you can get Mounjaro if you are not diabetic.

Its not just for extremely overweight people. I wasn’t extremely overweight and I didn’t have a diabetic diagnosis. I was getting close to prediabeyic levels and I was able to get it. It’s helped me out tremendously. It’s given me six months of being able to do intermittent low carb diet change and also dropped my diabetic factors significantly. It’s definitely a game changer for me. I don’t need to eat 3000 calories a day and I know that. Getting the weight off of me was the primary reason of using it because the weight is so harmful for people with diabetes or pre diabetes. My doctor is absolutely psyched about my progress. My insulin resistance is way down since starting it.

My wife is type 2 pre diabetic and is using it as well. She is seeing similar improvement.

3 ints. and missed on a few passes to wide open receivers ... I don't think 'great' is appropriate word. He definitely was a gamer though!

The new weight loss drugs are a big deal. Likely not just for diabetics/obese people in the long run.

New weight drugs are a big deal?
Just like in 2010, 2000, 1990, 1980…

There have been these type of injections for two decades. It’s not new.
Over two-thirds of Americans are overweight/obese and half are extremely obese. It’s not hard to find medications to help lose large amounts of weight.
And that article is not peer reviewed, it’s an opinion piece.

Diabetics will still need to live a healthy lifestyle.
Non-diabetics have no reason to take injections. Stop being lazy and live healthier.

You’re just a real peach, bro. At least you’re consistent.

Toby is back. Imagine being like this when someone tells you they dropped 70 lbs in six months strictly because of a medication that is in fact not like any other drug at all. Moving on. Anyway I’m super psyched I have lost 70 lbs and have seen significant improvements in all of my diabetic factors. It’s fucking amazing. I feel great about it and I’m not gonna let Toby HR me. I’ve got momentum!

I’m thumbing down posts that have absolutely nothing to do with the thread. Would love to know if anyone has information about 2023 transfer QBs though. I know that’s crazy in a thread about 2023 transfer QBs.
Oh, I thought this is the I am obese and I need recipes thread.

Has anything changed, or we good to go?
