First - it is embarrassing that he was even recruited to be a QB here. How devoid of football intelligence, and how desperate is this program to bring in a guy like this and tout him as top/exciting QB arm?

Second - How can you watch him throw - with his noodle arm and hilarious shovel pass/shot put delivery - and be like, yep that guy is going to be something special here at ND.

He is so awful, he would have a difficult timing being QB1 on pretty much any MAC team.

I have read a lot of homer posts on here, how TB will be the QB1 next year, etc etc. They will win 3-5 games next year if this noodle-arm gets the call to start.

He certainly showed a lot of bad, but also coupled it with a lot of good. But, for a third career start, coming off of injury, he did everything he could to win the game in the end.

Curious if the OP would have preferred Pyne yesterday knowing full well the game would have effectively have been over the moment we went down 21-7 in the 1st quarter. Did TB make a couple of bonehead plays? Yes. Did those plays result in points for the opponent, either directly or indirectly? Yes. Did he also account for 5 offensive TDs on the ground and in the air in ways Pyne never in a million years could? You bet. Did we (MOST IMPORTANTLY) win? Yep.

I’m more of the mindset that Buchner is a nice backup/ 3rd qb but I don’t think he has the height or accuracy to make for an elite P5 qb. He’ll have time to grow though.
