Bummer. Thought this team would be decent but clearly they lack the proper big man they need. The guard play is fine. Nate is just a liability defensively, especially away from the ball. Constantly out of position for rebounds. Brey needs to play Lubin more even if he's not ready. Even small teams are outsizing this team. At worst try Zona, because in the current state this team isn't a tournament team.

It's not just Nate but no argument from me regarding Nate. He's so good offensively, but it's no secret teams are attacking him defensively early and often from first tip to the final buzzer.

I was so frustrated watching the second half effort; a shot would go up and ND would just start at it. Elementary basketball; if a shot goes up, turn around, get your chest on the closest offensive player and block out. They just gave up when Marquette made their run and went up 12+ with about 10 mins left.

I agree 100%, Nate should be a 4. As I said last week, I think Brey needs to really consider getting Lubin some more burn earlier in the game and perhaps have Wertz or Starling come off the bench.

That really hurt us, not landing Basile, but by all accounts this season he made a really good decision for himself. He's having a great season so far for the Hokies.

Every opponent will simply force the issue w/ ND in the paint. All they have to do is watch the film…ND has zero presence down low like last year w/ Atkinson. So basically, they have to outscore their opponents which means being ridiculously accurate beyond the arc every game.

Georgia has two bigs - they’re both average at best - they’re fucking 15-15 . They average 12 points combined

you have 6 recruiting classes to pick from - and you can only compile 7 players that can play?

Brey you willfully ignore the portal - going into the season plan on trey wertz getting 35 min a game ?

I’m at a loss - I have no idea what they’re trying to do? There is no path I can see. They’re down 15 with 3 min to go - and there’s still five guys in their warmups. All 5 guys on the court are gone next year , the games over, play someone else !

It's so unfortunate that Brey didn't get a big guy. This team is really hard to watch. Their net ranking was 163 coming into this game...They are pretty much dead in water right now.

If Brey cares at all about this program he’ll retire after this year. If he comes back, if I was an underclassman I’d get into the portal immediately.

I told ya'll this team would struggle and I was met with "these lower tier teams are soooooo good" gtfoh. Brey mismanaged this roster and they just aren't a very good team this season, it is what it is.... it's time to move on though forreal, Brey has outstayed his welcome for a few years now. And it sucks to see that they do have talent, but so many glaring weaknesses.

I can't believe it's come to this ..... I've reached the point where I'm actively hoping that we lose every game. I don't know what dirt Brey has on Swarbrick, Jenkins etc. I really don't know what it will take for Brey to be fired.

Jack S hates firing coaches but another losing season cannot be explained away. No point guard and no one who can defend the 5 or the 4. Five fifth year seniors.
What a terrible job of putting together a team.
One year left on his contract after this season. Buy him out.

Very true, I'm glad I fell asleep at halftime. They were hot from outside for about 5 minutes of game time and then once they started cooling off they just kept jacking up 3s. Same story as the rest of the year on defense as well. It seems like Lubin is the only one to really battle on both sides of the ball and he gets 17 minutes. Goodwin playing 37 minutes and taking 4 shots is a problem.

The blowout win over Sparty was an anomaly b/c they were hitting shots. That’s their only chance to win over an average team. I still can’t believe he didn’t get a big man in the transfer portal. Maybe he tried.

Same.....He just absolutely, 100% failed this team by not bringing a formidable big in. No matter how hard he tried, he needed to try harder.
