do circle jerks of optimism differ than circle jerks of negativity, and how so?
I’m being honest. The trends are mostly negative in recruiting. Hillman will be a good player, I think of him in the same manner as Ronan Hannafin. Don’t like offering 3* Edge rusher scrubs like Robinson. And I really don’t like that the friggin RB coach can’t recruit his own kids.

What about his on-field product? Are you going to say Estime and Diggs were average this season? And his recruits this cycle, are Love and Limar bad takes - because your logic earlier was the TB quality is a must. And Aneyas Williams who is going to commit to ND on Friday?

I understand your hot-air about his sons, but a father doesn’t force his children to follow him. Would you want your kids to make up their own mind or just go and do what you wish? McCullough is letting them do their thing and pick where they want to go.

Also, dude. McCullough has an extremely impressive track record. He coached Jordan Howard & Tevin Coleman at Indiana, Ronald Jones III at USC, and was Clyde Edwards-Helaire’s coach in his rookie season with the Chiefs.

I don't think we should just assume an assistant coach's kids will come to Notre Dame. There are lots of reasons that might not be ideal for parent or kid. But will agree that the fact that McCullough's kids seemed to be cool following him to Indiana, but not to Notre Dame, is kind of odd. The DE who's transferring from Indiana, in particular, we could use.

Either way, like Canada said, what he did with our RB room this year was pretty damn impressive.

He needs to at least hang on to Love. If he loses Limar, it’s not good, but not end of world

He should be banned. Significantly drops the quality of the board in nearly every thread today ahead of an important time of the year.
He is irritating as hell, but he’s done nothing worthy of being banned. Maybe on the old platform I would agree. We have the ignore function now.

Banned because your posts suck ass dude and make this place unreadable.
Sorry, I’m not going to sugar coat things. They have major flaws keeping them from competing and it’s largely tied to shitty personnel.

I’ll say it again, Freeman was hired to one of the most prestigious jobs in sports with zero experience because he can recruit. I don’t expect top 5 classes every yr, but I expect more consistently. I expect him not to get punked by the likes of Keeley & Moore.

Does anyone else feel like this is shit optics?

Yeah I bet Freeman deep down is somewhat frustrated. McCollough has to know the battle they’re in with OU to keep Bowen even though it’s the opposite side of the ball.

Not that the battle should deter his sons from going where they want, but they didn’t even visit anywhere else. Cmon.
