If you look at the history of IU FB, every time they get a new coach, he takes a couple of years then has a winning record maybe two in a row and then the bottom falls out. Rinse repeat.Bingo. Makes absolutely no sense. Get fired then go get your next job.
I have been noticing a lot of these recently fired coaches or guys on the hot seat, like Allen, had their programs in good places in 2019. Then 2020 happened. IU goes 8-5 in 2019, made it through pandemic ball at 6-2, then it all falls off.
I assume in addition to Covid they're dealing with NIL and The Portal now same as everyone else.
They must have conferred with Jim Irsay first.I can't believe UAB is hiring Dilfer. That is hilariously stupid.
So apparently little Petey Golding done stepped in it again and Saban is going to send him packing. Looks like my guys will be in the market for a DC and an OC.
If you hate screens and slants, you can have Tommy R!So apparently little Petey Golding done stepped in it again and Saban is going to send him packing. Looks like my guys will be in the market for a DC and an OC.
Not really. Golding's defensive approach wore on me so I hope he moves on. Great recruiter but doesn't have that attack first mentality on defense. And BoB... can't wait to see him gone.Have you got a wish list?
Just my opinion, but you'd have to be certifiable to leave an NFL job for a college job right now...of any kind.
I don't care for the Ravens but they're a pretty well run franchise with a lot of stability. You're going to leave being Lamar Jackson's OC for Stanford?
That’s why McCullough left the NFL for college isn’t it? He ultimately wants to be a head coach and sees an easier road in college ball. (Thought I read that somewhere anyway).Maybe Roman wants to be a head coach. He's interviewed numerous times throughout the last few seasons and has gotten nothing.
GT was an unwinnable situation. Collins was a dead man walking.I don’t wish firings on anybody.
But what the heck has happened to Chip Long?
A leopard doesn't change its spots .. chip going to chipI don’t wish firings on anybody.

How much more than nothing is Stanford right now?Maybe Roman wants to be a head coach. He's interviewed numerous times throughout the last few seasons and has gotten nothing.
Yep, Stanford was never a great job. Now it's not even a good job with portal and NIL. Their best bet is to be a poor man's Wiscy. Get a defensive minded HC, get the best Oline possible, a decent pocket passer, and give it all ya got.How much more than nothing is Stanford right now?
This is an incredibly difficult climate right now, especially at a place like Stanford.
