It is crazy to me how every other football power house is like “oh you have a family member or significant other? Yeah they’re cool to tag along.”

lol sure. I remember the one time I had to play host to a couple recruits that were foisted upon a football player I was friendly with in my dorm who was a great guy, super smart, and an incredible football player (I think he's currently battling for starts on an NFL roster) but completely clueless when it came to social matters/partying. He asked me to help show them a fun time because he wasn't much of a drinker or anything at all. I was still a little sophomore in the dorms (or maybe a freshman, I can't quite remember) and I don't think my off campus friends were throwing any parties that night, so I took the guys to a dorm party and was literally shoving them into girls so they could have an opportunity to socialize somewhat. We then returned to my dorm room to take some shots etc. and get a little more twisted and I asked them where else they were looking. They told me LSU and Bama were after them hard. My heart instantly deflated at the thought of how pathetic our little dorm party must have looked compared to the bacchanalia they must have enjoyed down south. When I checked later, we didn't get the commits...

If we eliminated all admissions preferences for non-revenue athletes (a long-time and passionately held Notre Dame opinion of mine) we'd have the leeway on taking academic underperformers in to support the football team for other reasons. Yet another great point in favor of my argument that it is absolute insanity to let in swimmers who can barely read.

How do you know he is all OU? Really hasn’t been mentioned till this week. That’s why it was the main piece I found interesting because it’s really the main new piece of info or not.

Girlfriends are a massive deal, if we listen to every childhood development expert, much bigger deals than family, clergy, or teachers.


But those childhood development experts weren't elite athletes. I think he sees a way to become a massive difference maker on an already elite(mostly) program on the come up.

He can give us potentially one to two more wins a year then we would have had. I think he knows it. I think he knows he starts right away in that role... and I think he wants it.


Our NIL will get him conjugal visits to fucking OK to see his girl. Let's bring it home.
