Love + Avery Johnson would get us to 292. That’s the best class we’ve ever had. We currently sit at 284, tied for best ever with 2013.

Essentially, if we hold Bowen and land even 1 more guy it’s the best class we’ve ever had since the rankings started. Screw Keeley.
This! Kelly coached ND teams and staff more often than not started slow, played not to lose, and conceded defeat on the recruiting front with many top prospects. MF concedes nothing on recruiting front and if the level of difficulty and constant competition in fall practice is any indication, his teams will play to win from start to finish, giving ND much needed style points with media pundits and recruits. Both of these changes in philosophy should make this ‘23 class, even without KK, more the floor rather than the ceiling for ND recruiting moving forward.

Beating Ohio State is worth a flip or two. Run the table to the playoffs and crazy shit will happen in both ‘23 and ‘24 classes.’24 might be great even without the big wins, but win those or one of them and ND will get buzz all season long, making a lot of kids reconsider. The bag getters won’t care about on field success but the high 4 star future first rounders that aren’t getting big bags want to win. Kids like J Moore, Mpemba, Love, Minchey come to mind. Even a competitive shootout would give ND a lot of credibility. Would go a long way with Scott, Ringo, Brown types that might be waiting to see what MF is all about on the field too. If Marcus Freeman can coach, it’s going to get a lot of attention. Even 10-2 is a big deal for a first year coach. A big bowl win leading into the ‘24 recruiting cycle, a 5 star QB with a huge personality as the class recruiter, and tons of buzz about a young black phenom coach is about as good as it gets outside of dropping Jimbo bills.

Gold love your enthusiasm but its too early to say MF concedes nothing on recruiting front. Right now, we just experienced the biggest decommit in the longest time. I hope he does stay on Keely but as decommits go it can be a long shot.

Media exposure to fall practices have been limited compared to Kelly, and so I can't conclude anything on intensity. This is a lot of preseason talk. I remember when Kelly first came all the talk about "Camp Kelly" and kids puking in practice, etc. Whatever. We will find out if there is any real fight in this team on September 3rd and thereafter.

I think giving "ND much needed style points with media pundits" is something I wouldn't hold your breath waiting to happen. Assume the media hates us, because they do. Style points is something Paul Finebaum lauds on Saban, Fischer and anything in the South. I frankly don't care as the only thing that will give us style points will be kicking the shit out of the Buckeyes, the Tigers, the Trogans, etc. I do hope MF runs the score up all the time. That was something BK didn't do at ND but I bet he will do at LSU because that fan base will not tolerate take the foot of the gas at all.

I think if MF keeps Bowen and adds Top 150 class QB and Love then that would be a very good class indeed.

Playoff game, Rose bowl and a couple big ten title games. I'm sure there's a couple regular season Ws against top 10 teams in there somewhere.
Top 10 being B10 doesnt say a whole lot. Those are not legit top 10 teams but the customary media nod to the B10

Probably not as old as you and your weird posse of old faithful let’s like each others post crowd.
Yeah I dont really care how many likes i get. I care about posters on this board telling a kid to basically fuck off for not choosing us. You sound like a soft bitch when you say shit like that. Lighten up francis. Its his life not yours.

Ryan Day is 34-4 overall and 23-1 in the Big Ten. That includes the three games he was HC while Lord Florida/Pope Ohio served a suspension.

If that's not being able to walk and chew gum at the same time, I'd truly hate to see what stupid is.

Oh wait, it's Jim Harbaugh. Carry on.

Day I don’t think is as good a coach as perceived, but we are in no place to talk. He also dummied Venables in the playoff and thoroughly outcoached Clemson that year.

Singer with an article saying he’s hearing Love will push his decision back and the longer it goes the worse it is for ND. Not really anything new that we haven’t heard already.

Loy said today that he believes Love is leaning A&M, that he's pushing his decision back, and that he thinks the longer it goes on the better for ND.

Seems every pay site is on a slightly different page here, truth is nobody knows what Love is gonna do. Been saying it’s been that way for him specifically for months.

I will be curious if ISD changes their tune at all as they have been pretty optimistic on this one for a while due to whatever source they have.
