Loved the interview with him after upsetting the Lakers where he's overcome with emotion and has to compose himself before speaking.

Apparently before that game, the Lakers had the champaign and balloons within eyesight of the lockerrooms. Bill saw them and said 'Hell no. Get over here, guys'. And had a huddle right there.

“Hell no, fellas. Get the fuck over here…” or something like that…

The pedigree of a Champion. He just would not lose. I think he did once, early in his career..and that was the last time. He said “fuck that”. What a pair of brass.

NBA legend Bill Russell has died at the age of 88. He was one of my all-time 5 favorite players.
One of my favs too even though he was retired by time I started watching NBA. HS State Champ, NCAA Champ, 11-time NBA champ as player and 2-time NBA champ as coach. First black coach to win a world championship in any sport. Humanitarian. Activist. Rest In Peace big fella.

21 - 0 in winner take all games. I just can’t get over that fact.

Nobody ever doesn’t lose. Or do they? There was this one dude who literally never lost, his name was Bill, grandson. I was just telling the grand boy about Bill/winning last weekend.

Not being argumentative, but is this right? Did you mean Olympic gold medal winner? I thought Quinn Buckner was the first to win a state title, then NCAA, NBA titles and Olympic Gold. I believe a couple of other players have done that since. Doesn't diminish what he accomplished.

Had a kissing scene with Shatner. Controversial for the time.

Got it from his Twitter account. I think it was his daughter who posted.

66 years as a broadcaster is incredible. Started with the Dodgers when they were still in Brooklyn. They were discussing some of the highlights he called over the years. Here's the final inning of Sandy Koufax's perfect game. RIP Vince.

Strange local for that to happen south of Wakarusa usually real slow going through their with the RV, trailer, and Amish traffic. Also a couple of slow down roundabouts.

Vin Scully broadcasted games for 67 years and didn't really complain about how the game changed over that period of time. Ever.

Pretty remarkable stuff.

News reported that she was driving. Head on collision with her car being the one that crossed the line. Must have gotten distracted. RIP.

When I was a kid I had a 33rpm record that included recordings commemorating the first 100 years of MLB. It included Vin’s call of Sandy’s fourth no-hitter…the perfect game. I had that thing memorized & can still recall most of it. “Two and two to Harvey Kuenn…” VIn was the GOAT

My mom took me to Xanadu when I was a child. I didn't know what the hell I was watching, but the song "Magic" is still one of my favorite 80s songs.
