Has anybody tried Raising Cane's? Better than both KFC and Popeye's.

Canes is great for what it is,… trips you out first time tho bc it’s super expensive for chicken tenders and when you get it it looks straight up like something from the freezer section,… tastes way better tho. Nothing beats Popeyes chicken sandwich and red beans and rice tho

If anyone is ever in the Northern Kane County, IL area and likes Mexican food, No Manches has become our favorite spot. It's about a mile from our house. Their margaritas kick ass and the food is fantastic. I've yet to be disappointed with anything on their menu I've tried. They opened up during the pandemic and we found them supporting local businesses during that time.

I make it a point to wear my USMNT shirt whenever I go there to break the owner's balls a bit.

Popeyes and Chick-Fil-A aren't even comparable really, though. They share the chicken sandwich in common, as well as mac n' cheese, but that's just overlap.

Popeyes is a legit fried chicken and seafood joint.

Chick-fil-A is a sandwich and salads joint.

(It speaks to the Popeyes scientists that they concocted a chicken sandwich that blows Chick-fil-A's out of the water as an intended secondary item on their menu, and somehow managed to upstage their own fried protein offerings.)

Cane's has the best sauce, but the chicken and crinkle fries are below average without the sauce. The best thing Cane's has going for it besides the amazing sauce is the toast, and the fact that the bland chicken and fries are at least always hot and fresh.

KFC is an afterthought these days. Popeyes is better in almost every regard, but the KFC sandwich is an acceptable stand-in for the Popeyes version if there isn't a Popeyes around.

I've had Bojangles once, and the chicken biscuit was amazing, but have tried it enough to truly judge the menu.

I've never had Zaxby's or Lee's.

Canes sauce is not good.

My sister-in-law is from Puebla so when we've visited them I was shocked that chilaquiles and tacos was common for breakfast lol. Love chilaquiles for dinner. Might be my favorite Mex food.

Krispy Krunch in the gas stations is surprisingly good. Never actually got it at a gas station but it always has free deliveries on my DoorDash. It’s red beans and rice and jambalaya are top-notch for gas station food.

Chipotle is what you settle for when you are authentic-food deprived and want to throw your money down a hole. So if Chipotle is terrible, Qdoba is gawdawful. Qdoba is like when your culturally-challenged friend calls a little too much salt in the tomato sauce “spicy”.

Their coleslaw is absolutely disgusting. Coleslaw in general is disgusting, but I had it once when it was decent and I’ve been chasing the moment ever since.

There’s a Texas steakhouse in town that puts pineapple chunks in an otherwise typical slaw,….. omg it’s game changing. Slaw is for topping a pulled pork sandwich and nothing more,… unless it’s that pineapple slaw

Slaw on pulled pork? I swear to God I don't even know you anymore. Why would you want to smother the taste of good pulled pork? The places that offer that combo are those that don't no how to make a decent pulled pork and are trying to hide the taste with slaw. 😭

I've put it on pulled pork before. It's alright. I prefer it on its own though
