Pogba on a free to The Old Lady looks done.

Can someone explain to me what Paulo Dybala does to justify all this high praise and salary. I’ve seen little to nothing out of him when he isn’t injured.
When in form, he's borderline elite. I repeat, when in form. Problem is he spent 1/2 the last couple seasons in JMedical instead of on the pitch.

Ready for that headache to be officially some other team's issue.

No club eon Dybala. Also, I think his wife is his agent and she is batshit crazy apparently.

An opinion from this uninformed person: If Greg Berthalter (or however his name is spelled) does not start Matt Turner for the USMNT because he's not getting much work at Arsenal, it will be his greatest coaching mistake and we're screwed.

It appears that John Henry has allocated the Mookie Betts savings with the Red Sox to the Egyptian footballer he employs for Liverpool Football Club.

(I realize this isn't how it works for real)

I watched the under-20s the other (two) days. Aaronson's little brother is really good. So are several of those other guys. There is a centerback with tremendous ball-striking skills, both long service and set piece. There's another (tall midfielder, I think) with terrific press-breaking middle-service passing. There is a very solid leadership midfielder named Edelman. There are several guys with Irish names who seem excellent prospects too. Maybe we have a good pipeline.

Who can afford Ronaldo's salary at this point? Isn't he making $500K a week? He has to be the highest paid player in the world.

United can't sell him to Chelsea. That's a second layer of embarrassment on having to sell him a year later. You sell him to another club in England, you've got double egg on your face.

I think Neymar might make more.

Ronaldo really put United in a shitty spot with this. Had he made his intentions known, we would have overpaid for Nunez. Now we are pretty much left without an pure striker.

It sounds like Nunez was going to Liverpool regardless of whatever United was going to offer him.

Otherwise, yeah, Ronaldo is really sticking it to United now. It was still a very odd signing to begin with.

Better than the spot he put Juve in last summer, requesting a transfer with like a week left in the mercato.

CR7 is one of the best footballers ever. He does great things off of the pitch in terms of charity and doesn't do it in front of cameras. Outside of a World Cup he's won everything there is to win.

The approaching middle age version of him, however, is a complete douche. Maybe PSG pulls the trigger here. Who else would it be?

I think United got played. The idea that he was going to City was probably smoke. They moved because they could and sold some jerseys. Meanwhile they went into complete disarray.

I think if United had another striker, they would have tried to move him on early in the off season. I'm not pretending to know ETH's style of play, but I've read it takes a striker who will press and work tirelessly, whereas Ronaldo is fantastic when his side has the ball, but he isn't a pressing type.

It'll be interesting to see what happens. Not sure if there is anyone on the current team I'd like to see at striker.
