This is going to be needlessly divisive. A lot of fans are going to continue singing the original version simply out of habit (114 years of momentum is hard to stop), others will do so intentionally (presumably misogynists!) and some will make a big show of emphasizing the changed lyrics as a way of advertising their feminist bonafides. No one wins here, other than those whose loyalties lie first and foremost with ideological projects at odds with the University.
Don't worry - they will change it back in a few years once all the female sports become exclusively trans.

Maybe we have too many administrators if there is ample time on the clock to address such pressing matters?

So this is rather interesting. Football Scoop is reporting that the NCAA might do away with the countable coaches rule, though likely not until after this season. Laurinaitis and Watt seem like easy beneficiaries of this. Hopefully Freeman is able to convince the admin to open the purse strings a bit more to keep up with Alabama & Georgia. If so, I would also like to see a second DL coach and a dedicated QB coach. Maybe also a second WR coach given how important it is to develop the limited number of players we have there.

Don’t understand why they’d do that unless they want even more dominance from the big money teams
There’s also talk about getting rid of the scholarship limits WTF are they thinking?

The Athletic just published the results of their ND fan survey. These are responses when asked about Kelly's tenure at ND. Some witty folks out there.

Like a business hotel: clean, professional, organized. Even a little glossy. But ultimately a little soulless and forgettableLike trying to date a girl you met on Tinder. It’s going to be fun and memorable at times. But in the end, it’s just not as fulfilling as you had hopedA lot like eating at a Notre Dame’s dining hall — when you start, satisfying and what you need at the time, but the shtick gets old after a while and you’re ready for a change of pace; preferably of a little higher qualityLike Game of Thrones. Overall great but ended in disappointment.

I was looking at preseason All American lists and Michael Mayer is listed as second team. Not sure how a dude can be as good as him and Not get the recognition he deserves. He would be the best tight end on many NFL teams this year IMO.

Bowers is crazy elite and deserves the hype, imo

I agree he is very, very good. Entirely different players and I would say Mayer is more NFL ready. Looking at them with tinted green shades nonetheless.
I love when the PFF Football or Big Game Boomer Twitter pages list potential 2023 TE draft prospects and ask who the best is from a list, and then Georgia fans are always like "But why isn't Bowers listed?! He's better than all of 'em!" Idiots.
