I’ve shared stories of my brief interactions with her,… Waters is crazy but at least she treats people well enough. Baca was a good man,.. then this piece of work. Filed electronically last Friday. Got a letter from the IRS yesterday. As soon as I saw the envelope my pulse rate went up, thinking we're getting audited or we owe some money. Opened it to find it was a thank you letter for filing electronically. How many millions could be saved and heart attacks avoided if they didn't mail these?

Is the $5.2M from income reported on his OGE form not showing up on his taxes? Or is it the reverse? An IRS fuck up would be 1000x worse and would torpedo him. I remember looking at his taxes and thinking he must be using an average CPA because it was structured pretty vanilla. Maybe that's not the case with his corporate entities.

Based on reading the 278e forms, there's some leeway for not reporting spousal income and capital transactions for properties. Maybe that's where the difference is.

There are some disclaimers on the report that list things like "spousal income" or "residence sales", so if he sold a vacation house maybe the OGE report doesn't need to have that listed, but for tax purposes he would have reported that.
