If he is indicted by the Hague wouldn’t that preclude travel to any of the countries that signed onto the international criminal court which is basically all of Europe
I honestly don’t know. If all the hemming and hawing about keeping him in check because he has nukes, how is The Hague gonna do anything to him? I genuinely asking.

I think as to war crimes…it’s is that he has enjoyed a celebrity status and flown all around the world with impunity spreading his venom. If he is indicted I think most first world countries will be closed to him. Like no more coming to the UN and blathering or giving interviews on fox news. As for decades he has traveled all over this is not going to stop or reign him in but it’s not nothing.

I can't think of a world leader that has been tried/convicted without being removed from power. I could be wrong, though. I doubt there is any realistic chance anything happens unless he's physcially removed from his position of power.

Right? I mean could the world turn Russia into North Kora via isolation and continuous sanctions?

Correct. Have to depose them first, then you send them to the Hague for the new regime to wash their hands of them.

To Lax and Wild Bill.

Two things:
THING ONE

Putin flnched, blinked this morning, when he gave Ukraine four demands.
He blinked
Vlodomyr did not

The death, the War Crimes, the atrocities will continue and deepen

But Vlodomyr told the INCONVENIENT TRUTH to his citizens
Putin wipes his ass with Russian citizens

That matters and will play out

THING TWO

The wild card is CHINA

They're doing just enough to keep Russia their bitch
But they are not going to let failing VLAD blow up the lucrative European markets an d the American Markets.

The gap between what China says and what is does is larger than the Pacific.
But the sheeple will never get it.

The biggest question now is the Ukrainian body count
the refugees
the mental turmoil on the displaced persons (DP's according to American parlance, a drama with which I was personally an eyewitness. the mental damage.................yecch)

This article is crazy. Especially the part where they say that Putin knows that he is fucked so he may just invent pretext to nuke Ukraine.

They started rationing food (limits on amount able to purchase) last week. Vlad has to know he's got at best a month before popular unrest is a threat to his regime. Hopefully someone within the regime takes him out before he uses chemical/nuclear weapons.

I don't know. 71% of Russians support the war, evidently. And they are being shielded from negative news.

As far as the regime goes, how loyal is the Kremlin to him? How loyal are the Generals, Colonels, and the entire military structure?
Look how bad things have been in Venezuela for years now and no one will touch Maduro.

Support was below 50% before the invasion. If the whistle-blower is correct Russia has lost more men than we did in Iraq/Afganistan already and Russia has half our population. That worsening plus an economic tailspin tends to be recieved poorly. No one likes a loser.

If these reports are true, either this was a gross miscalculation by the Russian military and intelligence or they told Putin and he was too stupid to listen to them.

WTF

Teaching moment for any country getting invaded in the future: Blow up every train trestle connecting your country and the invader's. There's no reason the Snowpiercer should be 100 miles deep into your country if you have $5k worth of C4 snd a D6 Cat Dozer.

Now the can blow up the track on each side of it and they have their own Snowpiercer now. Russia won’t be getting it back. :)
