Sounds like Hitler. His subordinates were terrified to deliver any bad news and withheld a lot.

. Not a good thing when you fire your top guy. I bet the next guy has even less leash to disappoint Putin.
Yes. Propaganda is inevitable during war, and Ukraine has an overwhelming advantage on that front.this apparently not true. Psych ops
NBC news reported cities in the south were being taken.fox news just showed images of a convoy of soldiers, tanks and other armored vehicles about 3 or so miles long headed torward the capital city where the president is and so things could get even worse now for the Ukraine soldiers. this could be where Russia finally takes over the city but i hope not though
So this means my cousin in Knoxville who has dedicated his life to stockpiling weapons and ammunition can join in? I bet air fare is super cost efficient right about now. Finna call him right now.Looks like russia is stepping up there attacks tonight, lots of firepower on display.
But in better news
NATO countries are providing jets to Ukraine now
Turkey has reportedly Officially Announced the Closure of the Bosphorus Strait to Russian Warships due to the Breakout of War in the Region according to Montreux Convention
Ukraine is creating a foreign fighter unit, anyone in the world is welcome to come shoot some russians.
The French foreign legion is allowing Ukrainian soldiers to leave with their full gear to fight in the war
Not sure if true, but if it is, it’s hysterical.
Maybe the threat of being declared a traitor and put in front of a firing squad?I never understood this. At some point, the soldier needs to choose sides. Either he believes what Putin is doing is correct and fights or does not and makes his stand. I understand all the talk about risk but there comes a time when a man has to choose his side for what he knows is right. Russian history was changed when the common man overthrew the existing government. The excuse of "I did what I was told" wont hold up on Judgment day. All those German excuses during and after WWII just dont hold up. You are talking about evil decisions made by a minority of the people in power and the vast majority just rolling along with it like a whipped puppy. My wife told me a story about captured 20 year old Russian soldiers who spent the last three months training in Belarus and how they just want to go home. Sorry but cmon. You didnt think what you were doing marching and attacking civilian centers wasnt wrong?
And for the record, there are a LOT more civilian casualties than what the good ole American media is reporting. I shouldnt be surprised because they had the death count stalled at 14,000 three years after the 2014 invasion.
God will judge them and that will be far worse than anything a firing squad can do.Maybe the threat of being declared a traitor and put in front of a firing squad?
Just fuckin stop. Who says it'll be a firing squad? Why not torture to send a message? People's actual true existence, the one we all are certain we're experiencing, is being threatened by a brutal dictator.God will judge them and that will be far worse than anything a firing squad can do.
Can't disagree more with this.God will judge them and that will be far worse than anything a firing squad can do.
The “limited information” argument is an interesting one, as is this whole philosophical discussion. It can also be applied to concepts like slavery — which is in the Bible — and other moral concepts. A lot of morality is just purely subjective and human construct. Others will argue that there are certain intuitive “laws of nature” that any empathetic person should recognize. Can't disagree more with this.
You are judged by your actions with intent. I'm not one to say "just following orders" is always a viable excuse, but there are decent soldiers who simply wish to serve their country who are only privy to a fraction of what's going on with this invasion, and the choices are fight for your country or desert them and risk life imprisonment and death, which also puts your family in danger.
Same reason he has done basically nothing for the past year while it was clear Russia was amassing troops to invade Ukraine. They werent moving troops 30k at a time to the border just because. Same reason Afghanistan went down the way it did. This administration is inept. Completely reactive and no leadership and it is costing lives. The fact that the world has for the most part left Ukraine to fend for themselves up until now is shameful.Still have no clue why Biden gave the go ahead for Nord Stream 2. What was the rationale?
