Colzie is 6'4 and was a high level triple jumper. Wish they would have given him a chance to make a play down the field over somebody. That could have been a deep threat.

Want him back and still think he can impact the team positively, but he had a lot of targets yesterday for his production. Not much bang for the buck. He doesn’t have great route running and he’s not a great hands guy. Tough to produce without one or the other even with that speed

You're doing a good job of explaining why we shouldn't want him back.

Mayer, Austin and Lenzy all saw a lot of contested targets. I don’t know what the league average is but I compared to OSU for example the ND guys were closer to 20% of their targets compared to OSU guys were 10-15%. Mayer and Austin reeled in about half their contested throws, OSU guys 60%+, and Lenzy was around 20%. Those kinda illustrate a lot of skill differences. QB, separation, hands.

Extremely needed. Hopefully we build some depth and we don't need him up run 8 go routes and be totally gassed afterwards

Wow surprised this is great news. In the right offense he can be productive. Him and styles should be a tough 1-2 punch still need to add another 2 bodies from the portal.

Good news. Get Styles and Colzie to stay and that’s an adequate receiver group on paper.

This is great news, especially with KA leaving. Hopefully we can get healthy Davis and Wilkins backs as well.

Lenzy, Davis, Styles, Colzie, [Transfer], Merriwether is a decent group, especially when you count Mayer and Tyree as guys that are going to eat a whole lot of targets, as well as the fact that another TE is sure to emerge as well.

Coming back. Good news!

Unfinished business! If my memory serves me correctly, Fuller had some head-scratching moments early in his ND career. I had always hoped Lenzy would become Fulleresque. I believe he is giving himself the chance by returning. Great news for both The Irish and Braden!

Cheers and Go Irish!!

While continuing to develop him as a WR is important. I think they Need to develop him into the offense more like Chip Kelly did with De’Anthony Thomas. Maybe not quite that many carries but more. He had 13 carries in 2019 and 5 this year. He’s averaging almost 15/carry between those two seasons.

No way Styles leaves.
He had a season that says his eyes should be on the NFL asap and he will be number 1 guy next season at ND.

“No way” sounds like you actually know something but do you? Or is it just your opinion

He has so much untapped potential if we get a QB. He doesnt have great hands but he'd routinely get open on posts and Coan either wouldn't throw it or would throw it poorly. Whoever is the QB next year I hope they have a deep ball because Lenzy could have a huge niche as a great deep threat.

Agree. Imagine dealing with Buchner, Estime/JD Price running, then sharting a bit everytime Lenzy goes in motion.

I'd hate to play against that team.

This is much needed. Why would Styles and Colzie decide to transfer? Styles showed at the Fiesta bowl he can be a #1 WR and Colzie will get more PT next year. ND has Merriweather coming in and Jayden Thomas. IF anything they should look to get 1 from the transfer portal or sign 1 in February if anyone is left.

Because Styles is a #1 WR and either Buchner can't throw a football or Rees is nuts, and it's more likely Buchner can't throw.

Good for the depth and some experience coming back. If he works hard this winter he could be a plus.

We've seen him a bit though and it was mostly pretty good. Especially for a guy who has only played about 10 games in his whole life.

Very happy to keep him. Hopefully he improves with experience and becomes what I still think he can be……
