I think A) weird for a player to record this and B) If the players were laughing off a ISU shit kicking I would be pissed too. Amazing how quickly and starkly a coach’s attitude and demeanor towards a player changes from the recruiting process (when the coach is trying to convince his future meal ticket to come be his meal ticket) to when that player is just not performing to the standards that are going to help that coach get a bigger payday.

Sark hasn’t been much of a culture builder in his previous HC stops. He did look pretty good calling plays last year with an offense that had five 1st round picks on it.

I’m sorry but this is a common argument when it comes to Kelly and I absolutely hate when people bring this up. “Kelly will never win one”. Well he’s already been a championship level coach for a pretty decent stretch. Also, there are literally like 3 coaches who have won National Championships over the last 7 years or so. Dabo, Saban, and urban Meyer. I guess there was the season of LSU winning.

I like what Kelly said after the playoff game last year. Something about “they are going to keep banging on the door so get used to it”. One of these days the door will open and I’m banking on it happening in the next 2-3 years. Kelly is a great coach IMO and ND is lucky to have him.

I agree somewhat. At the same time, there is no argument to the statement that "Kelly has not won a championship". That is fact. He's also never won a playoff game or a NY6 bowl game. Also facts. He coaches at a school where the stated goal is to win National Championships. A school that has statues of those who have won. That is the basis for success at ND and if you don't reach it you'll always be a tier below. No matter how many games you win. If Kelly can pull it off he'll go down as a legend. If not, he'll simply be the "best of the rest".
