Great offer. Hopefully they can pull him onto campus while he's east of the Mississippi.

Gonna be a 5*.

Apparently he's Kyle Hamilton's cousin?

Just came to report the same thing...

"I'm really excited to go visit Ohio State and hopefully we can go and visit Notre Dame right after that trip," Woodyard said. "I have a lot of interest in Notre Dame for sure, it's a great school and I actually just found out a month ago that Kyle Hamilton is my cousin.

"He's actually the one who shared my film with the coaches. My dad's uncle is brothers with Kyle's dad, they're all part of my Georgia family so that was cool to find out."

Catholicism has prepared me for this.

True, but the hymns at Mass are good, and afterward you get to talk with Pastoral Councilwoman Shannon Byrne about how her daughter, Samantha, just got into DePaul... aaand we're back to suffering.

Would be a solid start to the class. It looks like only 247 has ratings on 2024 guys and it's very early, but Woodyard is currently the #20 player in the class.

An excerpt from the article.
The academics/alumni base and the opportunity to be immersed in their culture stood out to me. Notre Dame is high on the list, because they have been present and consistent.”

“Relationships matter in this process and that is what has stood out to me about Notre Dame. They seem to care about me as a person and not just as an athlete, which is similar to the brotherhood at St John Bosco.”

If ND goes back to back with Bowen & Woodyard, (and possibly others too), I would quickly get over Xavier. Bowen will be top 50 and Woodyard will be a 5 Star.

My comment was made in jest but as far as Freeman coaching these guys goes, I would guess that the '23 and '24 DB's won't be playing for him, for very long. So, if we are to max out this scheme over the next 1-2 years while we have Freeman, we really need the guy in '22 so he's Hamilton ready as a Sophomore.

What’s funny is that guy could be the other Xavier, Watts. I watched him play a few times when he was in HS and he was a better defender than receiver. He’s getting experience now, and probably will play a lot next year & be the “guy” in ‘23 as a Junior. That wound be a good bridge.
