Tickets will only be available through the travel packages as would have been the case last year, and how Nebraska’s game is being sold for next season

I’m surprised that ND has given up a home game for this. It has always been Navy’s home game in the past.

I usually hit 3/4 games a year and looking seriously at this for the family. Anyone taken this trip for the game in the past? Any reviews on it or suggestions? How far out do you need to be all over this?

Ive researched it the last two times its happened and its kind of stayed the same. About 40k tickets available. You can get ticket only packages or get tickets and hopsitality/travel packages. This one opens up 11/23/2021 and Im going ahead sooner rather than later.

Packages open on the 12th for those who had bought them for the 2020 game so I’d suggest you get on the day it opens to the public in order to get tickets.

I just loathe how they do the "package" thing... not my style of trip, don't mind overpaying for tickets but do mind overpaying for the other stuff.

Wife has wanted to hit Ireland sometime before popping out kids...maybe this is how I get that to happen. haha

I wouldn't even mind not getting to go into the game. Maybe just drink in a pub for it.

not a fan of ND playing over seas or playing navy the 1st game of the year. im sure ND will have a bye week after this game i still don't like the jet lag. but on the flip side im sure this game will start at 8 am so that will be awsome.

Eastern time zone revenge for all the times I've had to stay up until 1230 to see a critical game decided.

I had signed up for the game last year and it was through Tenon Tours. It included shuttles to/from the airport, to/from the game, accommodations, game tickets, tailgate options and a couple of options if you wanted to see the Guinness brewery, etc. They could/would arrange the flights for you or you could handle that on your own. I was disappointed that the game was cancelled but I was very impressed by the folks working at Tenon and they returned every bit of money that we put on deposit (over $4,000). We didn’t have travel insurance either so their customer service was impressive in my opinion. Hopefully they will be handling some of the packages this time around.

There are very few tickets available in Ireland. In 2012 they sold out on ticketmaster in an hour after they were released.

As usual a number of high school games will be played on the weekend of the game (JD Bertrand played in Dublin back in 2012 when he was a HS underclassman)

Marist HS in Atlanta (Kyle Hamilton's HS) is the first school confirmed to be travelling in 2023

How could JD have played in Dublin in 2012? He would have been like...11 or 12?

Dublin 2012 - the Tuitt scoop and score morning. Remember it vividly. Watched the game from my St Louis hotel then proceeded to the casino to loose my ass on the black jack table. Worse run of cards I’ve had in my life.

The night prior watched the MSU game from that same casino and lost that day too. Was a rough, wet weekend minus the ND win. But had a lot of fun.

he big event, a tripleheader at the iconic Donnybrook Stadium on Sept. 2, was planned in conjunction with the Aer Lingus College Football Classic, which saw Georgia Tech defeat Boston College at Dublin's Aviva Stadium the following day. Proceeds from the high school games were donated to Special Olympics Ireland.

Former Irish rugby champion Jim Bertrand said watching his son, Blessed Trinity's JD Bertrand, and his team practice and play on the same pitch where he led his rugby team to four national victories was a "surreal experience."

Before returning to the States, the high school teams gathered for an awards ceremony and a group dinner. The event's official motto of "Much More Than a Game" was visible throughout the players' journey. And on their last night, it could be seen in their smiles.

Okay that makes way more sense. Slight chance I'm getting shitfaced with Beau at a pub during the game.

Which pub? Not a big fan of the Navy-ND game (I've been to 3 thru the years), but I gave in as part of taking my wife over to Ireland. Being that her grandfather migrated from Cork area, she has always wanted to go there for the sites. I surprised her with a travel pkg, for Christmas. Yes, it took the ND Irish to lure me to travel to meet the Irishmen in Dublin, plus the lure of Guinness! :) Go Irish forever!
