I feel like this game could end up being something like the 2013 MSU game. Shots to the outside keep a few drives alive and the defense prevents their anemic offense from doing anything.

Hopefully we have the same refs, there were like a baker's dozen PI calls lol

True, Kelly owes the fans nothing in this regard. Owes probably even less than he provides.

But no team has as many outlets and beat reporters covering it as ND does. And you watch: post game write ups and early week podcasts will circle back to the fact that the beat knew someone was going to be unavailable but didn’t report it. Not until they get their last 1:1 availability with a player or Swarbrick or a player’s family. Crazy how the services can get whispers “out of the Gug” about some 2 star nobody from North Dakota in the middle of February, they always have sources for that stuff and they print it. But when it comes to actual scoops their readership might care about, not a peep.

I would say this is something your beat doesn't leak because ND doesn't want it leak. It would be potentially detrimental to the team to let Wisconsin know about your NT being out early during game week.

It's also completely inaccurate, I think, to suggest that the beat only gets news no one cares about. They get plenty of big time scoops that keep us all engaged, clearly.

Wiscy is now a 6 1/2 point favorite. They know something about KH?

ND going to throw that mug 50 times.

This is our best path to victory, IM(humble)O, but I doubt CBK and CTR are going to do that, and that's my biggest concern. Stubbornly running into a brick wall that is their front 7 and then getting sacked when we try to go play action because Wiscy doesn't respect our running game and they blow by the fake.

Spread em out and torch em. Please

SIAP but has there been any news about Tyler's hamstring? Is he full on go for the weekend?

yeah folks on II comparing it to the game plans in both games versus Georgia, forget about trying to have a balanced offense or running the ball, just sling it

The fact that it wasn't brought up makes me think that he successfully got through his rehab this week and is good to go.

Lol my family knows Fr. Nate well. He was one of the co-celebrants at my sister’s wedding and was at my parent’s church in SB for a while. He’s a super nice guy.

Honestly, this is just bad period because Kurt has been a force all season.

Time to show we have depth though. The rest of the members of the DL will need to step up.

Not ideal but Mike Elston will get creative with the crew and do some mixing and matching. Lots of good pieces to use plus with Botelho back, gives a bit more flexibility.

Prister also added Hinish was in the protocol during camp as well, which is not a great trend for him moving forward. There was no mention of how severe but he'll be more susceptible to them.

Get off the field on 3rd down, protect the QB, expose Whisky’s average secondary, and take the 6 1/2 points. Irish get’s it done today…

Badgers had a bye last week. They will be fresher. Special teams will probably have big part in this game and our special teams just are that good. We struggle stopping the run and they are going to run it down our the defenses throat. We have to play perfect today to win and I just don’t see that happening.

Having 3 games played vs two is an advantage IMO. Teams do most of their improving from game to game early in the season. A bye is for more valuable mid season when the team needs a break.

An absolute shame about Hinish. This is going to be a tough game but I have a feeling The Irish are going to play much more cohesively. That will be the key. Need Lenzy and Austin to play to their potential and spread the W defense. Give Mayer and the RB's a chance to put up big plays.

Cheers and Go Irish!!

Big plays will be the difference. ND will make more of them. Hamilton and the corners will play well enough to contain Wisconsin and they won’t do enough as a one dimensional team. Tough game. Irish add a late TD to seal it, making it look more comfortable than it will be.

ND will still struggle to protect Coan and won’t get consistent running game blocks. However when it’s there, they will take advantage. I see Wisconsin only getting 1 (maybe 2) TDs today. It won’t be enough.
