I think Driskel is smart at breaking down film and Xs and Os, but I wouldn't hang out with him. He's annoying.

I wouldn't say I necessarily hate him, but based on all I've gathered, he's heavily detested by several ND sites and is impossible to work with.

Dude burned all the bridges when he left ISD and it sounds like it was more of the same when he left BGI. The guy is knowledgeable, so he's not incompetent, but he is so high on his own supply that anybody that dares to question his logic or narrative is scum of the earth. He's also apparently not the most liked person within the Gug either.

Yeah I like his show. Him and Vince are pretty good. I can see what people mean with the criticisms, but I like that he is not all that worried about being popular with the coaches. He is the opposite of Singer who is very likeable but I dont always feel like I know what he really thinks.

The main testing is a random sample of athletes, but they can also do full team and for-cause testing. Interestingly, those latter two have the option to decide beforehand that any positive results will not result in discipline. I guess its kind of a way to make sure they don't get blindsided by a random sample or NCAA test later.

But, knowing BK, we should expect some cryptic coach speak about the matter, lol

Good to see photos of Botelho on the field and the one above.

I know we won't know his situation until BK speaks, but if he were in any trouble we wouldn't see him on the field. Seems to me it is a minor internal situation.

He probably ate BK’s last donut. We may never know, but at least he’s good to go, that’s all that matters!

One of his tweets today was a plug for a practice breakdown where he promised to address BK’s comments on Botelho…

I refuse to wade through an hour of Driskell talking to find his comments, but I assume it’s something like, “BK is lying, it wasn’t rumors, there was a legit situation that my sources told me about, but I won’t go further into it because I’m a big man”

And I’m not even discounting the idea that there WAS a situation of some sort that got worked out, and BK is just protecting his player… but I AM counting on Driskell being a douche about it either way.

As you posted in the Freeman thread (I think) losing both Liufau and Botelho really limited what we could do in sub packages. Freeman’s 3 down base or Dolla defense isn’t supposed to be this passive defense. But, by the end of the game, it felt like they didn’t have the guys to run it.
