They picked up a transfer from Texas who looked really good in the spring. Also still have Malapaei.

Jay Toia is in the portal after being an EE. More significant loss than meets the eye now that Pili is lost for the year (spring injury). He was in the top 200 as a recruit and from all accounts did really well this spring. This leaves USC pretty thin on the interior. Good news for us, bad news for them.

When he committed to SC, his cousin/uncle? Johnny Nansen was there. Now he's at UCLA. Nansen is also related to Nico Iamaleava and the Uiagalelei's.

SC gets transfer from Darwin Barlow. He was TCU's top RB last year. He'll be a RS-SO in '21

I just hope our lines (O & D) are what we think they are and I hope our entire defense makes the trojans miserable this fall. I want to see them quit like they did a few years back: beat down, tired, low effort.... it was glorious.

We are obviously least likely to play Michigan so of those 4 that would be prefered.

when we get our vacated wins back he can have his heisman back.

This. In what sick world do Penn State, Miami, North Carolina, and USC all get their penalties revoked and we're stuck with lost wins because we actually self reported a few players that had papers written for them? Those other programs did far worse, especially in the case of Penn State. No, tired of seeing cheaters prosper.

If y'all were the USC AD, whom would you hire to replace Helton after this season?

Some of it just makes absolutely NO sense. You get slaughtered for jaywalking and get a slap on the wrist for murder. You guys got royally screwed over the paper thing. We got screwed in '07 over a few players getting an extra book or two on their scholarship account and giving them to their buddies or girlfriends. We self reported, the NCAA investigation found no evidence of any financial benefit to the players, and we suspended each of them for 4 games after the NCAA recommended 2.... and still got 7 wins vacated. Meanwhile, a couple of years later when Auburn got in hot water over buying Cam, they just lawyered up, refused to cooperate or admit anything, and walked away unscathed.

UNC got away with a MAJOR infraction that made a mockery of the concept of student athlete. USC essentially bought Bush. There's no valid reason for reinstating him and giving him back his Heisman. Penn State should, in a just world, just now be restarting their football program after a decade of having it shut down. What happened there is the most shameful thing in the history of college football. The NCAA and how they pass judgement and hand down sentences is a joke with virtually no consistency or credibility.

These have been running for 3 years. Karma is as effective here as SC's OL development.

Interesting little blurb I found in an old Athletic article that Feldman wrote and posted just now because of McMillan’s commitment. 2 of the CA HS coaches he spoke to said part of the problem is the CA kids themselves. Interesting coming from coaches from that area. One said there isn’t enough “dog” in these guys and another simply said the OL just aren’t good enough, go elsewhere to find OL. Every coach then later gave why they think Cali kids aren’t elite OL in general

I looked at previous Cali rankings and there aren't a lot of OL. Lots of good DBs and skill players on offense.
