I'm not sure how other subscribers feel, but I could care less how many points he gets from his CBs. I would rather have less instances of Kaleb Brown and Carnell Tate. It just pushes the board to meltdown mode when they start to lean elsewhere.

In general I agree but I think Loy has done a better job of late. Remember a few cycles ago when he had like 5 or 6 RB's all CB'd to ND. We don't have that type of Loy CB action anymore. And, Loy has done a better job of late explaining his rationale and sometimes he just calls it what it is. I think based on such and such he eventually picks ND and wants to get it in early. In this case, he's saying he's confident ND is the outright leader so I don't know what else he should do. Stating as such and putting his CB on ND probably makes sense. If that is truly the info he's getting. Most of the reason that board is a disaster is because it's a paid site and they'll allow people to pay to be miserable idiots or blatant trolls.

There’s 3 types of Crystal Ballers, remembering that in their system it rewards the length of time you were right.

- Loy and other team guys tends to be early and if it’s ND he’s way ahead and if it’s not he’ll make the switch right before a commitment elsewhere.

- Others basically don’t put in a CB until the commitment is essentially silent and just wrack up green check marks on their picks.

- the national guys like Fong are the ones that move with medium confidence throughout the recruitments and will make switches somewhat freely with the pulse at the moment

CB's are easy:

Do you have a Catholic last name?... a 3.7+ GPA?... Did you drive thru South Bend at least once as a child? You get a CB.

On top of that, If you're a ginger and have swapped follows with your position coach, coordinator and BK... you get a CB

Yeah I can't argue with this pick if that's the info he's getting. Think he largely does a great job, sometimes his sources may skew toward the overly optimistic but he reports what he's hearing which is all you can ask for. Sorry to get a bit pessimistic in what should be a much more joyous thread regarding a 5 star CB, lol

They should get penalized if they switch their CB.

First post, just getting sea legs. But I love the comfortability of the interchanges here, Easy, breezy, not a lot of edginess or arrogance. Thanks to the dudes like Crusader and Lucci and the rest of the dreadnoughts.

FWIW I am suspicious of many of Loy's CBS. I am reminded that Wiltfong, from the stands during the game between ND and USC, put in a CB for Amon Ra.

If that is not pandering it will do until pandering shows up.

I trust Crusader's CBS. Of course, I been fooled before......................

but, not for nuttin' thanks to the mods and the posters.

Sonny Styles. Well,Marcus is in his head, in a good way.....

Loy is almost in boy who cried wolf territory with CBs this far out from signing day. I'm not going to lie this news didn't get me as excited as it should have.

I call this PTLD, Post Traumatic Loy'd Syndrome.

One of my favorite times on this board was all the Loy'd memes we had. I feel that we do it less now. But the sentiment for many still remains.

It seems that Freeman has gotten into his head, and that may be the most pivotal thing of all.

Cetreris paribus, alex can see himself in columbus as easily as south Bend.

But the ceteris ain't "paribus"

There is the Marcus Freeman factor.

Think Marcus was dialed in on
Jr. Tuialamaka?
Josh Burnham?
Jaylon Sneed?

You ain't seen nothing yet.

Notre Dame can live and win without Alex Styles.

But for Alex Styles will life and football be as sweet, as rich and as frothy without daily coaching from Marcus Freeman?

I’m curious to hear what Driskell thinks about the situation…

Anyone think it's a coincidence that the OSU pic is a little bigger than the others and is front and center? lol

I mean, considering it's made by some guy who makes these for hundreds of kids a year...yes?

Agreed. Unless Sonny specifically told him to put it there, I would make the assumption it was based upon artistic preference of the maker.
