Newkirk just posted an interview with Morris. Without getting into any direct quotes, it definitely didn’t sound like Morris was a strong Michigan lean. Even UM fans in the comments think he’s slipping away.

We know Harbaugh loves playing games with recruits. They had Braiden McGregor deliberately string us along awhile back. It’s possible Newkirk knows more than he’s letting on, but if he’s basing his Crystal Ball on that interview then he’s a bigger clown than Steve Lorenz.

Gaige Garcia one of the top wrestlers in high school but was also a 3*rb has been at michigan now for over a year and hairbaugh pulled his football scholarship. He was an extremely coveted wrestling product and has NOTHING to do w/ any behavioral issues or academic....he's very disgruntled at the moment and I didn't chat long w/ my buddy but he said he would provide more details...i'll catch up w/ him tomorrow

Two things are true:

1. It’s annoying that we’re losing skill guys to Michigan given Ann Arbor is where 4 star QBs, RBs, and WRs go to die (or transfer).

2. Tyler Morris wasn’t going to be the difference maker that we needed.

I will say this...I hope Michigan loses every game forward, with the exception of OSU....just cause Buckeye tears are sweeter than skunkbear. That said, I applaud UM for accepting his commitment. Too often today, schools and coaches ignore the human aspect of these type of situations. Morris can make a full recovery and be every bit of good as what his ranking suggests (and hopefully for his sake that happens). But Michigan doesn't have to roll the dice on if he does or doesn't. I hate Harbaugh and company, but they did the right thing and I give them credit for it.
