Caught his drive. You would think an all American center could snap a decent ball. The snaps that weren't over Pyne's head barely made it.

That pass looked very nice.
He will move up the rankings.
He should get a huge bump at 247 who has at 743 overall. I think a performance like this makes that ranking look stupid.
247 is obsessed with measurables and how skill positions players look in shorts. Pyne is ranked where he is because of his stature and arm strength and athleticism. None of that is changing, so they are going to ding him for his "upside."
The truth is that his game is a lot like Jake Fromm's, and if he was 2 inches taller he'd probably be a top rated player.

Sounds like a QB already on the roster.

I agree that this performance does make that ranking look stupid. However, do you actually have faith in 247 to make the correct rankings bump? I don't.
Yeah 247 ranking of Pyne is stupid. the other two services have Pyne in the top 200. And as you mentioned it's all because of his measurements. Saying that he has a stronger arm then advertised and at this point in his career is further along than where Ian Book was. All ND fans count Pyne out, but I wouldn't. The kids skill set reminds me of Baker Mayfield.'Should' being the key word. I don't think they'll put him where he should be but it seems obvious he can play on the same field with those other good to elite players. #743 overall seems reserved for a guy that couldn't compete at all in that environment. So, I'll say he does get a meaningful bump to something like 400-500. He's got to be the lowest rated recruit at one of the 2 major AA games by 247.
I like what he brings to the table wouldn't be surprised if he starts at some point in his career her, no idea when it would be but i think it's definitely possible.
Pyne looks like a guy who can play if you need him. Probably as an injury replacement rather than a "win the job in August" type.

But a good guy to have because QB's get hurt and if the backup is clueless you lose.
You've just guaranteed that he will start for 3 years.
Best line of the broadcast from the game in reference to Drew. "He comes from the fertile recruiting grounds of western Ct."
Damn, I haven’t checked the Tyler Buchner thread since about 9am this morning, what did I miss...The spirit of Reesus will settle upon Pyne once Book retires. He'll leave ND a 3-year starter.
That is pretty funny. But in all honesty it’s the best recruiting grounds in the North East outside of Jersey.
Here we go off the top of my head:
John Sullivan
Silas Redd
khari Fortt
Steve Young
Connor Hanratty
Drew Pyne
Corey Johnson
CJ Holmes
Tarik black
Andrew Stueber
Brandon alSebastian
