Hey guys so I just started doing Italian on Duolingo and I love it...

As a semi-related question, does anyone know any good language learning audio programs for the car? That are preferably free? Looking to maximize my commute time into something productive.

I did Spanish on duolingo for a while and really liked it. However when I started my new job about a year ago I couldn't find the time. I will try and restart soon.

My routine right now is to wake up, crank out one of my workout circuits then do a lesson which takes about 5 minutes... then repeat the circuit and another lesson... then do another circuit and a lesson and go shower. Eats about exactly half an hour and wakes me up and keeps my "streak" going on Duolingo.

geez, to do all this before I leave for work I'd have to get up well before the sun... morning person I am not.

Friend from Brazil is a big advocate of learning Spanish or Portuguese. Says it's you know one, you can have a functional conversation with Portuguese, Spanish, Italian, and to a lesser extent, French people.

If you want to learn a pretty easy one, German is easy.

Same. My motivation was destroyed by studying for the bar exam and I never came back. Need to get back into it now.

I have a pretty standard routine for days when I don't have to be at a job site at some ungodly hour like 5 AM.

Wake up at 6, do the above, hit the shower circa 6:30, eat a snack, leave the house at 7, be in the office or at a job by 7:30.

If I don't do the routine I could sleep in until 10:30... I hate waking up. Trying to build myself into a creature of habit is working. It's why I also want to try to learn a language in the car while driving.

Can speak Spanish which comes in handy since we have a lot of Hispanics here in the area. Friend in Vietnam has started teaching me Vietnamese and a friend in Kenya has started teaching me Swahili which is not too hard to pick up on.
