Can't rep you or I would have, I realized that. I just wanted to make sure and put out there that this isn't a recruitment that we should blame BVG for. That's the first place some folks will go, but it should be the last. It doesn't seem like the family has exactly been a class act about this from what I've gathered.

I'd bet a lot of money that is precisely what happened. Like I said above, there should be no blame placed on our staff, whether we like BVG or not. Nd just isn't going to win these types of recruitments nor do I want them to.

Neither do I. I can accept these losses when it means ND won't taint their name with families of this ilk. Not my cup of tea and shows a perverted understanding of how to use power.

Such a small, pitiful mindset leads to overplaying one's hand and cashing in before the big payout.

Bogs, you kind of sniffed it out from the beginning that it might be a little bit of all of the above, I think.

I was adamant that Beal liked ND for ND, that he wouldn't try to force the coaches' and admissions' hands, and that I didn't think his recruitment was going to go the way it has, at least based on what I heard from someone at Norcross.

But, it's a business, and "family over everything" and all that jazz, I guess.

Loy said he has a hard time seeing him in this class and not really sure how high he is on the board. I don't think he is at the top of the board either or near it. Whether he should be is another question because I know this board loves him

While true on the surface, it would still be nice to have a DC that forces kids to give ND a serious look based on the relationships he forges and results he provides on the field. It's one of our only potential above-board equalizers. Cause this current sh!t ain't cutting it.

I think it was a commentary on the way Robert handled parts of his recruitment, which is a legitimate point to be made.

"Asshats" isn't the nicest term for it, but I don't think it's worthy of deletion/indictment, especially when his post followed a bigger theme about various issues.

IJS, people are constantly being slapped on their wrists for saying arguably offensive things about recruits, ESPECIALLY in their respective threads. But if no one else sees it that way, I digress.

Per UGA board, he hasn't shown up on campus yet. Apparently has some work to do in order to enroll. Speculation is he needs a better ACT/SAT score.

That is actually an article on a different player but they talk about Beal on the board. FWIW, they have 3 players from the 17' class that are questionable, lol.

I agree, doesn't hurt for them to not be on the roster. However, I don't believe any are expected to play much.
