The 6-foot-3, 265-pound Ademilola worked over the offseason to improve his speed and hand technique. His goal this year is to reach the double digit sacks plateau.
“The offseason has been great,” Ademilola said. “Me and my brother have been working on our speed, getting bigger [and] faster. We’re changing our games to have a really good season.”
Ademilola said his recruitment has slowed down since his commitment to the Irish. He isn’t going to stop schools from trying to recruit him, but they won’t change his mind and he’s still solid to Notre Dame. He and his lead recruiter Scott Booker talk a couple times a month.
“Coach Booker is a great guy,” Ademilola said. “He recruited my old quarterback who is at Notre Dame now Brandon Wimbush. I met him my freshman year and we’ve developed a great relationship. He’s a great guy and I try to talk to him once every two weeks. I love what he is doing up there.”
The Class of 2018 and Ademilola plan to continue hitting the recruiting trail hard this fall and winter. Ademilola said one of his targets is Hightstown (N.J.) The Peddie School wide receiver Jahan Dotson.
The three-star recruit is planning to visit South Bend this fall during one of his bye weeks during the season. He is trying to plan with other Notre Dame commits to visit during the same game.
“Go Irish,” Ademilola added at the conclusion of the interview.
