If this was an SEC school those would be phat Benjamin stacks.
ND mail saying they are interested in a recruit, telling a bit about university
Wishing I was a recruit right now.
Ugly or not I feel like JR was promoting us in a more public manner. Forget this chick was even working for us.
She's been here what a year, we're sitting in the top 10 for 2015, looking good for 2016, and we're already talking about her like she's a downgrade. We have no clue what's going on behind the scenes but the output thus far has been great......
Rough crowd.

I'm not sure you can attribute our current class to Megan. After all, the coaches are the ones that really drive the recruiting, these coordinators mostly handle paperwork and make some calls. When you consider how plugged in many recruits are to social networks today, JR was really on top of his game the way he communicated with potential targets and the fan base. Not only that, but he created the Pot of Gold campaign to drum up more attention to the program and try to lure recruits. He was here a short time, but I think he accomplished a lot. So far Megan hasn't shown much innovation from what I've seen, so how can this be anything but a downgrade?
So what you're saying is that PR is the measure of her success? Maybe I don't understand fully what her position entails. What is her true output and metric for success?
The position probably entails a whole lot more than what you see posted on Twitter.
I'm not saying Twitter is the measure of success at that position. What I'm trying to say is JR was possibly a Vinny Cerrato (Look him up if you don't know him) we've missed for some time. Is there any wonder how he got scooped up for a position with more clout and responsibility in just 7 months on the job? He was a real go getter and thought outside the box imo. Those are big shoes for Megan to fill. I think she's doing a good job, but I haven't seen anything creative from her like Sandlin was doing on social media and with the Pot of Gold campaign, so you can't possibly say she's on par at this time.
You kind of are basing everything on Twitter.
You compared him to Cerrato which...just no.
He took a job at Jacksonville freakin' State so let's not go overboard that he got "scooped up" by another school.
He was here 7 months and in the long history of Irish recruiting his efforts will be completely forgotten. His shoes are not big to fill in the least bit.
Sandlin was more active on social media but often sounded like an immature 13 year-old on Twitter. I think we'll be just fine without him.

I did like how active he was on twitter, but the bolded is so true. If DShans were on twitter he would have thrown his phone right out the window when reading some of JR's posts. It was often embarrassing for an academic school like ND to have tweets out there that butchered the language.
Ultimately, I doubt twitter activity is a major benchmark for what kind of success Megan is having.
Irish invasion was a success and she was part of that
I think that is the main point though. That's the primary way most kids communicate today, so it would probably behoove one who is in a position to spark the kids' interest in ND football that you would be very active on social media.

Think they're required to wear ND gear when they work or just for photo ops? lol

According to a source inside the program, Megan Whitt, Notre Dame's Coordinator of Recruiting Operations, is leaving South Bend to pursue an opportunity with the National Football League.
Whitt, who spent the last year assisting former recruiting coordinator Tony Alford and director of player personnel Dave Peloquin in the recruiting department, organized all official and unofficial visits for prospective student-athletes, managed compliance and academic records for recruits and helped organize and direct gameday recruiting efforts. She previously held a similar role at Ohio State as the recruiting and operations coordinator.
Regarding Notre Dame's recruiting efforts, Whitt did a great job with the recruits while they were on campus and leading up to their visit. She played a key role in creating buzz and excitement for each of the recruits and was even singled out by many of Notre Dame's class of 2015 signees as a reason they enjoyed their visit to South Bend.
According to our source, this was an extremely difficult decision for Whitt to leave Notre Dame. She loved her time with the Irish and is very grateful to head coach Brian Kelly and his entire staff. However, we're told she simply wanted to fulfill a lifelong goal of working at the highest level of football and couldn't pass up the opportunity to work in the NFL when the opportunity came.
Monday will be Whitt's final day with the Fighting Irish coaching staff.
