I assume GATTACA is out getting wasted, or stealing fire trucks.

Bayless was bitching about Lebron all Finals. Classic.

He's still poo-pooing James on his Twitter it looks like. What an asshat.

The one and only saving grace of an otherwise dark summer for Chicago sports.

Is it though? This probably puts LeBron among the top 3-5 players ever and he's only 31. Could be the first real challenger to MJ for the title of Greatest Of All Time

Stop. You can't catch perfection after you lost.

BTW, not saying he is better but it is close. Lebron does it all. It is an interesting conversation but I still take Jordan a tad ahead just because of his offensive game is better than Lebron's.

I don't disagree that MJ> LeBron but man do I hate that reason. It's so damn stupid. Like LeBron's legacy would still be potentially comparable against Jordan's if LeBron had lost in the Eastern Conference Finals more? Wat?

Again, not disagreeing with the conclusion but of all the MJ fans points this is the most stupid and unfortunately the most common.

It's not the same though. Lebron is now in his 13th season in the league. Michael played 13 total seasons in Chicago. Lebron has WAY more mileage on him at this point in his career, than Michael did.

Regardless though, no. MJ remains the greatest and I don't see that changing.

I don't think it's that close at this point. MJ wasn't 9x NBA all-defensive first team for nothing. Compare that to Lebron with just 5.

Ok, superb...you think Cleveland is great...I don't care.

Cavs aren't beating any of the top three teams out of the West...let alone Golden State.
Yeah, b/c #2 just lost to #3 in the West...who would have beat the Cleveland Lebrons too.
What does that have to do with anything? The Lebrons still lose to OKC, San Antonio and certainly the Warriors in the Finals.

Speaking from a NY KNICKS fan prospective...a winning season would be reason to celebrate.

BTW...Pacers have held their own quite well against the Lebrons. Without looking at it, I'm sure they beat them at least a couple of times.

I don't think Cleveland will be outmatched by any means. They can win the Finals if killer Lebron shows up.

Prophetic

Just saw this, don't know if it was already posted:

Cleveland Cavaliers inspired by second, secret NBA Finals trophy

OAKLAND, Calif. -- The Cavaliers had two trophies in their locker room Sunday night: the Larry O'Brien Trophy and a replica of it that served as a secret motivational tool throughout Cleveland's run to an NBA title.
Earlier in the season, veteran James Jones came up with an idea of a rallying point for the Cavs' postseason run. The team would create a puzzle with sixteen pieces, one for each win needed to take the title. When put together, it would form the trophy.

I thought the trophy would look like this:

Should we start a "Why am I a Notre Dame fan" thread, and four years later we have a Natty?

So does that mean we're going to have an all-world talent commit to us, then take his talents to South Beach, win 2 titles with the Hurricanes and then come back here, lose 1 and then win another? Quite the resume for a college kid I must say.

Congrats Cleveland! So pumped that LBJ won one for his city.

Stop with all the MJ>LBJ talk. It's not even close. LBJ cemented his legacy this series as one of the best ever, but he's no MJ.

I am too young to remember MJ really. I have a memory of the Bulls vs. Jazz in the finals, but I was like 6.

Are we getting close to that point where LBJ is close? He's won three now...and came back 3-1 against a historically good GSW team averaging close to a triple double. I have a feeling he might have 2 or 3 more titles in him if things go right.

Congratulations Cleveland fans. This gives me hope that one day Buffalo may have a team called, Champions.

This series ended all debate IMO. The biggest knock on Lebron was his occasional lack of drive when things got tough, but to put together 3 monster games with your back against the wall against a team like GS is a performance for the ages.

He still has many years left, and although he looks gassed here and there, his physical toolbox was never an issue, it's always been his mental toolbox. Looks like he figured both parts out, so watch out. We may not have seen the best of him yet, which is scary to think about as a fan of another team.

Awesome for LeBron, great for the city of Cleveland. Now if he could just throw a football, they'd be cooking with gas.

Cavs Teammates Sheepishly Tell Kevin Love They’re Not Aware Of Any Postgame Parties - The Onion - America's Finest News Source

OAKLAND, CA—In the midst of celebrating the team’s first NBA title Sunday after defeating the Golden State Warriors, sources confirmed that Cleveland Cavaliers players sheepishly told power forward Kevin Love that they weren’t aware of any postgame parties taking place later in the night. “I don’t think anyone’s really doing anything after this, at least as far as I know,” small forward Iman Shumpert was overheard telling Love in the Cavaliers locker room, adding that the other players will “probably just go back to the team hotel and spend time with their families.” “It’s getting kind of late, and I’m actually pretty exhausted after that game, so I’m not going out. But if I hear about something fun going on, I’ll definitely text you.” At press time, the rest of the players were reportedly pretending to pack up their gear as Love walked out of the locker room to board an otherwise empty team bus

In fairness both the Sabres and Bills have about the same chance of winning the Stanley Cup, so.....
