Many of you are better people than I... I have had numerous invites or opportunities to have game parties over at my house or at some friends place... screw. that.

Most of my friends either don't care about cfb or are ND haters so they would just talk smack all freakin game.. I no mess 'round with that shit... it would get real. lol

My friend's hosted a party for the natty. I made wings...brought Budweiser for everyone. I was pumped. This was my moment. I wanted them to share my joy as Notre Dame's defense played lights out and the offense did just enough to win.

7-0. 14-0. It kept getting worse....and I just sat there...and these guys let me have it...without lube..for hours. I still get crap when I tell them I'm going to watch Notre Dame, "Touchdown Bama!" It's a wound that will not heal until BK and the boys win one.

I now have a very small circle of people with whom I will watch the game. Even then, I prefer to be alone. Occasionally I'll watch with my dad.

To this day my friends and I will say "Roll Tide" sarcastically when something bad happens.

You have not experienced humiliation until a stadium half full of Bama fans is screaming HEY IRISH! WE. JUST. BEAT. THE. HELL OUTTA YOU. RAMMER JAMMER YELLOWHAMMER....etc.

I wanted to kill myself but was too drunk.

To this day I laugh at people upset that BK yelled at those players. That was an all time underachieving performance.

The only response other than Purple Face that would have been acceptable during that game is if BK just walked back to the lockerroom. There is literally no explanation for most of what transpired in that game.

I have just recently graduated from "physically ill" to "gently cry-laughing" when I think about the off-the-face interception in the red zone.

I was a nervous wreck going into the Sun Bowl... I have zero idea how any of you go into these massive, meaningful, games with any sense of confidence and or "this is going to be great"... I have said for years, my first ND game in South Bend will have to be against Texas Southern or some such... I won't enjoy it unless ND just smashes their opponent.

I live for being an away fan. I love when it is us against the world. That being said, my record in true away games (so not bowls) is not very good.

2007 Michigan = L
2011 Michigan = L
2011 Purdue = W
2012 Michigan St. = W
2014 Arizona St. = L
2015 Clemson = L
2015 Pittsburgh = W
2016 Texas = ruh roh

Also 1-1 in the Meadowlands (Navy L, Syracuse W)
1-1 in bowls (Alabama L Rutgers W)

Edit: Forgot good ol' Purdue!

About the same here for me. I won't watch Irish games with anyone because I don't want any interruptions. Irish time as my wife tells my kids when the game is on, do not disturb your Father!

I about had the cops called because people thought there was a domestic disturbance when we were blowing those games against scUM. After the NC I damn near cried because I was so disappointed in our performance and effort.

After the mich game in 11 I remember throwing my jersey across the room and feeling as angry as I have ever been in my life. Since then, I haven't gotten mad at any nd losses sans fsu last year, and even that was generally subdued. I definitely agree that the michigan game was an emotional tipping point for a lot of fans, nothing was ever quite the same after that one.

All the Bama fans around us were extremely nice, and one felt so bad he bought us probably 8 beers throughout the game. I had quite a few convos with them waiting for a cab after the game, and they were all fine too. The Big Ten has the absolute worst fans in CFB, and people from the Midwest are raised thinking that's how everyone acts, but they don't.

Bush push was horrible, I don't know if any game has made that angry since. 2011 Michigan was terrible but part of me almost expected it. 2012 Alabama was such a beat down I was just numb by the end of the first quarter.

Worst one in person was the Navy game when the streak ended. It was like 20 below zero so not only was the game miserable but we were all shaking the entire time.

2011 Michigan and the FSU game were all time I don't believe what the f*** is happening moments. Just unbelievable.

This for the '11 UM and the '10 USF games.

After both of those games I just sat in stunned silence saying to myself- "What in the hell did I just watch, b/c I have no F'ing idea"

For me it was the clipping call when we played Colorado in the 1991 Orange Bowl. I still get bummed thinking about it, but I love watching that return in all its grainy glory on YouTube - it still gives me chills. What a perfect ending that was negated by a crummy call.

I don't know if this is true or not because I watched the game on TV, but I heard that the Rocket was looking at Lou for last minute instructions or something, and Lou just pointed at him and then to the end zone.

This might be one of the coolest things I've ever heard.

I'm pretty young, so the Bush Push is pretty much the first ND moment that is burned in my memory. That and the MSU comeback the following year, where my dad went upstairs, too pissed off at the game, but I stayed up to watch. But probably the lowest I've ever been was the Navy game in 2007... At 11 years old it was the first time I've ever said F*ck in front of my parents, "F*cking Charlie Weis" after the Navy TD in OT, and I think they were in too much agreement at the time to say anything to me about it

I made the biggest mistake of my life by watching the 2011 Michigan game with a bunch of Michigan fans. Most of the Michigan fans I know aren't too bad but there were some people there that I didn't know at all that were just brutal towards me as I sat there in my Shamrock Series jersey. It was at a guy's house that I know (Michigan fan) who turned his barn into a two-story bar. Super cool place, nothing fancy.

Obviously there were a ton of roller-coaster emotions/moments during the game but I tried to sit there as calm as I could be without cheering too much. When Michigan went down and scored their 2nd last TD, some guy I didn't know poured his entire red solo cup of beer on my head getting all over the brand new jersey, leaving me soaked. I should have beat the guy's ass but he was two times the size of me and completely hammered. The owner took care of him for me. With all the rage that I built up after that I knew karma was going to bite them in the ass. When ND went down and scored I got up and stormed out of the barn telling every Michigan fan what a worth-less piece of garbage their fan-base was and told the guy that poured the beer on my head to go f*ck himself. Bad idea. That karma was now on their side.

Before ND kicked off to Michigan, feeling a little embaressed about what I said, I came back in and I told my cousin (Michigan fan) that Michigan was still going to win the game. Sure enough I watched 30 of those losers dance around after the infamous Gary Gray-play. Easily the worst loss I have watched.

F*ck Michigan.

I was at that game and can say that was true. During the commercial break Rocket was pacing back and forth, jumping up and down and getting the ND crowd fired up. You just felt something special was going to happen. When he broke loose that was the highest I've ever been as an ND fan. When I scanned the field and saw the damn flag on the ground was the absolute lowest I've ever been as an ND fan. All in a matter of seconds. Me and my buddy still talk about that one. Damn that hurt to write that! Guess I'm still not over it

Such a shitty, crappy call. That one still hurts.

My dad was recruited by Colorado so he always kind of liked them... I'll never forget that game, such high stakes and me vs my dad...

Agree 100% My buddies mom was the secretary for the AD at Notre Dame. We got to go to all the team functions that week. The game sucked no doubt. When you go to the post game party after that game and see the faces of all the players... Really sticks with you as a fan.
