What's a record thats considered unbreakable that you wanna see broken?
I'd personally love to see Wilt's 100 fall and Dimaggio's 2 records from 41.

With or without drug induced enhancements.

I hope the Clipper's record is never broken. What is really amazing is when his 41 game streak ended, he turned around and started another streak that lasted about 18 games. In the game he didn't get a hit, he did reach base via a walk and safely reached base in 74 straight games.

He also had a 61 game hitting streak when he played in the minors.

I'd love to see JBJ reach it, he went to highschool just down the road from me, and I'm a Red Sox fan

I'd love to see an undefeated NFL team just to shut up those 1972 Dolphins. Those guys really get on my nerves.

I'd love to see an NBA team win 73 regular season games, start telling the 96 Bulls to shut up, and then not reach the Finals. #reality

Not a record, but I would love to see someone hit over .400 again.

It would be cool, but I found myself rooting very hard against Carolina this year. Not to go all spoiled fan, but it's hard not to be jaded from 18-1 as a Pats fan....pretty much have the attitude that if they can't go 19-0, then I don't want anyone else doing it....especially after the Pats started 10-0 and looking like they could make a run at 19-0 before everyone decided to get injured.

I also didn't find Carolina all that likable or entertaining to watch personally. Maybe if someone else more likable were blowing everyone out then I'd be rooting for it to happen.

JBJ breaking the 56-game hit streak would be sweet. I think I'd root for just about anyone to do that since it's such an accomplishment you have to respect it. His streak seems surreal now and he's only halfway to the record which is crazy.

Not really a record, but I'd like the Browns to win a Super Bowl while my dad is still alive to see it.

Shocking that Red Sox fans think JBJ will break Joe's record. Not happening folks. No chance whatsoever.

Personally I would like to see someone break the consecutive games played streak in any sport because I hate the whole "rest day" nonsense we see in baseball/basketball with even the younger players. Fans pay good money to see guys play and can't control who is resting on any particular day.

I think it's unbreakable. With the way pitching has changed, i.e., specialists who are fresh and throwing 96 in every inning, it's just not going to happen.

Disagree with the second part though. We know more about fitness, health, etc. It's not players being soft. It's players and coaches paying attention and giving them a day or two off in order to keep them performing optimally. It can suck for the fans, but that shouldn't be their concern. Winning the most games possible and advancing deeper into the playoffs is the concern. Just my $.02.

Gretzky sets the standard in this convo. This year Patrick Kane led the NHL in points with 106. Gretzky's single-season record is 215. He topped 200 four times in a row. It's just unimaginable dominance by today's standards. I'd love to see anyone get close.

I'm not calling the players soft. It's not up to them. It's the coaches/GMs that have decided to do this.

I'm sorry but 24 year old right fielders do not need a day off. Baseball is not a contact sport.

.400 really would be awesome. Even someone being in contention as late as August would be sweet.

Yup, this is my choice too. No other major sport needs that type of hype that would last for months. The NHL has quietly gone back to the pre-lockout dead puck era--anybody approaching 200 points would be incredible to watch in this day and age.

Yeah I can't even fathom 215 points. Almost 3 points per game. If a player on the Rangers was performing at that level I would watch every single game (I basically already do but I would cancel plans)

I don't think anyone thinks it is going to happen. Would Red Sox like to see it happen, yes.

I would like to see a non-PED user break Bond's home run records.

Also think it would be really cool to see a pitcher so dominant over a career to break Nolan's no-hit record. That record I think would be harder to break than Joe D's hit streak.

That record is not his to claim. It belongs to Roger Maris and everyone knows it.
