No the Indians are a distant third at this point. LeBron's impact on basketball has been crazy.

I remember being down 1-3 against the Indians about to start game 5 and telling my gf...watch, Pedro and squad is about to smack these dudes three games in a row.

And then it happened.

Speaking of...guess who is in Fenway to start a 3 game set tonight.

"At this point"........ You said it.... One team has an all time talent and is at their all time peak and the other is just average, historically and typically speaking it's not close..... Overall, all things being equal, no one gives a shit about the Cavs. Look at it this way, the Blackhawks have owned Chiacgo for a few years now.... It's because they're really, really good, not because Chicago suddenly doesn't care about the Bears.

I don't know GATT..., if the town could vote to reset everything tomorrow and pick which teams win... I'm pretty freakin positive it'd be Browns, .....Tribe, .................................. Cavs.... Any other notion is just being caught up in the "LeBron moment" Imo

Idk man certainly doesn't seem that way to me. The attendance at the Indians games is horrible even though the tickets are dirt cheap and the team is relatively good. (4 games over .500 and in second place) People absolutely hate the Dolans, they see them as cheap and only in it for the $. There are tons of people that wont support the team until the Dolans sell.

On the other hand the whole city loves Dan Gilbert. The dude does so much for the community and is really trying to revitalize downtown. He earned a ton of good will with the casino, and even though in retrospect it was stupid people loved "the letter". People see his passion for winning and his willingness to go WAY over the luxury tax and they feel like he really cares.

Was Chicago really a basketball town before Jordan? Just look at our attendance numbers after LeBron left. They dropped from averaging 20k with LBJ down to about 16k. Not terrible when you consider that team set the record for most consecutive losses. From their the attendance steadily increased every year getting all the way back to 17.5k per game the last year without LeBron. Pretty darn good IMO when you consider how expensive basketball tickets are.

I think right now the Indians are an afterthought. Really though this argument is silly because like I said before almost all Cleveland fans would be ecstatic for a championship in any of the major 3.

You're just a special little snowflake ACamp

I disagree with pretty much your entire post (ha) but this is fair enough... I get it... I'll just say it would be very "Cleveland" for the least supported team for the entire history of the city to be the one that ends the drought... Wish either of the others could have done it sooner.

Cleveland lost as many in the last 11 games, the entire playoffs, as OKC and GS each lost in the last 2. And you're shit talking. Ha.

And people still think they are going to compete with OKC or GS??

OK.

I don't think it's really likely that the Cavs will play that bad again. They sucked on both ends of the court. But yes, I believe that they will compete with the West in the finals.

They just want to ensure they get a chance to finish out the Conference Finals in Cleveland before losing to the West Champ. No italics.

OK.

The Cavs beat the Thunder both times they played them this year. Also how are you beating the drum for a team that just lost by 25 and was down by as much as 41. LOL trolls gonna troll I guess.

I think both teams will be tough, but I hope the Cavs end up meeting OKC.

What a weird conference finals for both sides. Toronto is tied with Cleveland and OKC is beating the ball-kickers. Weird.

I'm going to quit watching the rest of the playoffs. Games 3 and 4 were the only games I could watch all the way through. Miss Game 5 and Toronto loses by 40. I'm refusing to watch anymore games as a result. I'm doing this for Cleveland.

Cleveland fans, who do you want to play in the finals this year?

It's an "uphill climb" either way, however, I'd like to play OKC because they seemed to do better against them during the regular season. It would be cool to revenge last years finals but really don't like how we match up against the Warriors. Hopefully we don't lay another egg in Toronto Friday...have about 15 guys coming to the house for the game.
