So who did you like back before the Mayflower landed?

You might be at that age where you were a bandwagon Bart Starr lover! I got my eye on you #1!
Kind of old, but did anyone see this? From Michael Irvin, Love it!
"I'm telling y'all right, I'm telling y'all right now, and I need all the people talking about this Jaylon Smith kid -- I'm gonna tell y'all right ... now," Irvin told G-Bag Nation on KRLD-FM 105.3, a CBS Sports Radio affiliate. "I kept his [draft] card; I got the card right here next to me. ... I'ma hold on to this card, and when I see this kid in Canton, Ohio, I'm going to have him sign it for me. It was one of the greatest thrills of my career to sit and announce that pick, and when he made that pick, when he picked Smith, oh my God! Oh my God! I was off the wall, off the wall. ...
"I know he has adversity in front of him, but I know the kind of dude he is," Irvin continued. "He'll come back. ... The baddest man in the league right now, the baddest linebacker in the league right now, Luke Kuechly, I call Luke Kuechly 'the white Ray Lewis.' I said it myself, Jaylon Smith is gonna be the next 'black Luke Kuechly.' That's what we just got, you understand what I'm saying? ... This dude is bad, for real. This dude would've been a top-five pick also, had he not been hurt."

BTW Jaylon is not going to be IR'd this year. Jones expects a return by playoffs.
I don't see what the point of that is...
To keep him motivated. It is not likely they will play him but they want the carrot out in front during his rehab.
i disagree with that approach, if anything jaylon needs to slow down his rehab. no point rushing back, he needs to be sensible and and look at the bigger picture.
Even as a Colts fan, I will admit the AFCS is hot garbage. The Jags may have had a decent draft and showed some progress last year, ut they're still the Jags until they prove otherwise. The Titans are still a train wreck. The Texans have done less with a talented roster year after year. The Colts took a step back last years due to the love spat between Grigson and Pagano. It appears Irsay has fixed this and now that Luck has some protection (at least it appears so), the Colts should be back to normal.
I'll just hold out hope that Jaylon sleeps with Jones's wife, daughter, granddaughter and whoever else it takes to piss him off enough to trade him to any other team in the league.

Signed with Cowboys.
Yes, 4 year contract.2.9 signing bonus. 6.8 million overall. Is that over 4 years?

You think the Cowboys aren't managing this?
If Jaylon, miraculously heals, the Cowboys could never live down the heat.
So saving a year is best for everybody.
Hell, the Cowboys will make even more money because of the attention they get over the drama they are producing!

I wouldn't say it's "not looking good". The tweet is click baity in a sense, as the injury he has probably shouldn't have significant improvement at this point. It takes a long time to recover from it and he wasn't expected to play in '16. They make it sound like he's off pace for recovery, which he is not.
In a non-condescending tone... what's your thinking on how they capitalize financially on this?
