Serious question -- has anyone ever decommitted from ND twice? I mean, I'm sure they have, but anyone have any idea who was the last?
I think Stephon Tuitt.

The only one I can think of is Aaron Lynch decommitting once during recruitment, and then "decommiting" again after playing a year. Doubt it's ever happened in recruiting though. Would take some serious balls to decommit twice from a school. Heck, I can't even think of 1 recruit from another school who has done that.
I am fairly confident that Tuitt did it to GT. He was committed to GT, then committed to ND, recommitted to GT and then obviously recommited to ND.
Perfect example of how the word "committment", in recruiting, needs to change.

Around here it was like Jerry Tillery de committed every time he went to an LSU game.
I kid. But there's always a first. I'd like to think we'd be careful about accepting a second "commitment" from a kid who wasn't 100% solid. Even if he's a big-time recruit like Beal. It closes doors for other recruits, and at some point it starts to reflect poorly on us.

However, I don't read this recruitment like others. Seems like a good kid with a good family who had certain expectations about their kids going to school together. They've reassessed because they are reasonable people.
Yore right, I misread the article. This per Rusty today lol
-News broke a little on Monday afternoon about Robert Beal and the possibility of him transferring to IMG. Right now from everything I am hearing this sounds like it may be heading into that direction. Now what does that do for UGA’s chances? That remains to be seen. I was told late on Monday that Beal’s sister, who will be key in his decision in the end, looks to be on tract to get into UGA. This is going to be one to watch for sure over the next few months.
Looks again like UGA sources hear one thing and Loy sources hear another thing.
"On tract" to get into UGA? I find it pretty unreasonable for there ever to have been expectations of getting into ND if she had to work to get into UGA. She'll get a fine education there, but they aren't even on the same planet in terms of difficulty.
We have special accommodations for athletes (tutors, etc) and many still struggle. We wouldn't have been doing her any favors throwing her into the general student body without those resources. Hopefully they see that Robert would have those resources though and it could be an incredible opportunity for him, one he shouldn't lose simply because it's not a good fit for his sister.
Plenty of size to be a DE, but not enough to ever take snaps inside if we ever had to due to injuries or match-ups. I like a guy you can move inside/outside with easy depending on who you're playing and what package you're in.
Plus, Beal is basically the frame of Daelin Hayes who came in at 6'3", ~240.
Not saying you're wrong, but those are why I'd take Kaindoh.
loy was asked IF Beal makes it to II does he think he could commit. he responded it is possible HOWEVER the relationship needs to continue to be mended...frustration on ND's staff part w/ how it went down
Agree. you have to cut the tie sometime. Regardless of how close they are as siblings, it's extremely short sighted to have them attend the same college when one has an opportunity not afforded to many. I doubt they live together when one of them eventually gets married.
Other visits include South Carolina on June 8th, Georgia on June 11th, Alabama on June 12th, Notre Dame on June 18th, and Texas on June 23rd.
247
Hopefully he OVs to Texas in early September and witnesses us dismantle a talented, but still young Longhorns team in person.
Or he could just commit back to us again before then and shut down all visits. That would work too.
247-in talking with MULTIPLE sources we are the favorite at this point...will end up at ND, bama or Georgia
We did. Good thing they're not the same person. Not discrediting your post... but didn't we hear the same thing with DROB this past cycle? Gosh, even that is still not quite settled just yet.

how does robert beal's sister go from being shocked/disappointed to learn she wasn't admitted to ND to then heading to a JUCO??

Is she really juco? My thinking is they used Robert as leverage to get his sister track offers
