Not to be a dick, but I have read this several times and I literally have no idea what you are asking?

The video you linked to talked about how complex and nuanced building a wall really is. How difficult it would be to not only construct something but also have it be effective.

I took the above comment as the thought process of disregarding the need for results and starting a massive project without even a clear roadmap. Which is exactly what Obamacare is and was.

I don't think you watched the video. Nowhere did they talk about it's effectiveness. Only the process of getting something like that done.

Saw that. Obviously the polls mean very little right now, but that poll is misleading because Trump has finally had a chance to be by himself, and to be the nominee. I think we’re seeing the Trump bump now that he is running solo, and eventually we’ll see Clinton get a bump once Sanders tells his supporters to back her. Then after that dies down, we’ll finally start to see some better, truer polling numbers. The map/demographics do not favor Trump at all, but nothing about this election season makes sense, so he could very well pull it off (I’m predicting Clinton unless something catastrophic happens – i.e. terrorist attack, etc, which Trump will exploit the way only he can).

Indictment of Hildabeast would be ideal.

I think she'll definitely get a bump as well. Going to be fascinating to see what happens with the Bernie supporters as well as the #NeverTrump people.

This felt a little condescending towards the Bernie supporter, but I think she held her own and then some.

For the bonus points, look up who Emily Tisch Sussman's (Hillary supporter in the video) father is....

Simple...What if Trump could say anything he needed to in order for the wall to be built, without a care for cost, truth, or consequence for anything he or his surrogates said ...just like Obamacare? What if he could cite congressional failure to act as reason to exercise "administrative" authority like Mr. Obama does. What if he reversed course on environmental and related concerns through executive order.

Is there much else to be concerned about for Mr. Trump if he wants that wall?

Now we know Mr. Trump will not be allowed to get away with those things if he were elected...but with Mr. Obama's rules?

Polish Leppy believes what he wants to believe. He's not one to let facts get in the way. And where the facts don't exist, he just makes them up. Leppy, just how many unemployed people are there with degrees in Art History or Lesbian Poetry? And what percentage of the college-educated unemployed majored in these fields?

I'll let you go figure all that shit out. My point was young people should figure out which industries/ skill sets are high in demand and focus their efforts accordingly so that they aren't spending $40k per year to get useless degrees and end up working at Starbucks.

Perhaps Trump's bud Putin is doing him a solid! LOL.

I find it funny that Trump supporters love that Trump and Putin like each other, but if a democrat was friends with Putin, they would be calling them a traitor.

I don't love it, but I think the situation is funny. If Trump were elected, I doubt the friendship would last. If a Lib was friends with Putin, I wouldn't call them a traitor. Maybe a communist.. (using italics more these days as my sarcasm obvoiusly is not always clear I guess).

So no one should major in the arts? Our world would be a significantly more depressing place (even more than it already is) without the arts. My college education was richer because of the plays I got to attend on campus, the art shows I got to go to and many other things that came about because of the arts. Life is not go to work, make money, go home and sleep so that you can go to work the next day. Life is more complete with "beauty" in it, which could be books, plays, poetry, movies, etc.

*I am not saying that people shouldn't do a cost/benefit analysis of their major/career choice, just that other things are part of the consideration besides the job market.

34 college majors with the highest post-grad unemployment

Not if they will complain about being unemployed

I'm not advocating a world without the arts. That would suck. Ya know what sucks more? Thinking a passion of yours in school (plays, writing, etc.) will lead to employment and financial security like classmates majoring in nursing, accounting, engineering, business, etc.

My children will be pushed to pursue the arts in college (if they go) but they will pursue it with other interests that increase employment opportunities. STEM will be pushed early on in hopes they develop a love of understanding their framework but I also want them to love the beauty in the world.

I believe the arts/crafts will play a more prominent role as we automate more and more around us. The less required to maintain, the more resources can be placed towards improving our surroundings and creating beautiful things.

Pragmatism goes a very long way in this world. Watch how successful people operate and emulate them (you define success, it doesn't have to be about currency earned).

This is what I've learned in the first 30-something years. I'm just practicing this speech for my children.

I get where you are coming from, my oldest (only 6) will spend summer alternating between science camps and art camps, and next summer we will add a camp for coding in as well.

When I was in my undergrad, I roomed with a performance art major, who was great at what he did (though Madonna being blasted at 2am is pretty rough to get use to), and I couldn't imagine him doing anything besides theater. I also had another art major as a roommate for a semester (though he was pottery, and had a double major in art education). Some people just don't have the talent too be scientists, math majors, or engineers. Even if they tried to be a finance (or engineering, etc) they would most likely struggle or fail out.

Yes, this. Every bit this. My son is a current college student and my wife and I tried to really push him towards majoring in something in the STEMS, but he was having major struggles. He is now majoring in English with a concentration in Creative Writing and he is doing awesome. It's where his skill set and passion is and that will lead him to being successful in life.
