There are a few South Park schools in CO, but there is also a town specifically called South Park. It's super tiny and not worth a shit outside of having excellent fishing.

Does A&M ever drop recruits? Coaches want recruits commitments to be solid but many of them will drop recruits if better options come along. I would like to see things operate differently but its a two way street.

I don't think the tweets are good, but they're not that bad. Whoever decommitted was just looking for a reason and this was it. No one's changing their college decision over those tweets alone.

According to Dr. Google, to population of South Park is 672, though the scenery looks awesome.

Ha. Surprised it's that high!

It is a beautiful area. I would always get stoked about going down to South Park, to have myself a time. I mean, there are friendly faces everywhere, humble folks without temptation. Ya dig?

I need to get back down to South Park, gonna leave my woes behind...

Well, they used to have a Whole Foods in their Shi Tpa Town section.

Of course this made the SoDoSoPa district go under pretty quick.

https://n.rivals.com/news/martell-s-father-hiring-of-mazzone-led-to-son-s-decommitment

free, basically his dad says it was mazzone that led him to decommit

....or maybe it was the fact that you had him out running around the country looking at OSU that made the A&M staff feel offers for Ryan Kelley and Jack Sears were needed to cover the possibility that Tate would flake...AGAIN. So was it YOUR needs Mr. Martell that have now labeled your son as a 2x quitter?

Words have meaning sir. Commitment, look it up Mr. Martel and whatever you do don't use the L word when describing your son,

Tate is very loyal when it comes to that

If he were loyal sir, he (under your direction) would have shut down the process, gone to A&M and probably started as a freshman and had not only his buddy Tyjon Lindsey to throw to but most likely the #1 WR in the country for '17, Christian Kirk. But no, you enabled both of your rock star aspirations by flying him around the country looking at other schools... to make sure you guys were"doing what was best for him & your family" (most overused garbage line is recruiting) and to figure out if he was really, really, reeeeeally committed to A&M.

Word of advice Mr. Martell, watch a Johnny Football 30 for 30 and advise your son to zero in on a school like Cal or Oregon and actually use the 4-5 years to get a worthwhile diploma. The odds are he's going to need it for things like food & rent when he walks off that college field for the last time.

Lastly, take the keys to your helicopter and toss them in the trash. This isn't the Inland Empire Ducks anymore and you're not his coach nor his agent. You and his mother didn't give him the needed genetics to be anything more than a good college QB. Had Peyton Manning been only 5-10, I wouldn't have written this sentence because he would never have become Peyton Manning.

That is a good rant but focused around a word, "commitment". Maybe the terminology should be different b/c it certainly does not mean "committed", which we all know. We see it every year...rather parent driven or the kids decision. Hell, LOI doesn't necessarily mean shit on some occasions anymore.

So I wouldn't take the word on such literal meaning...because, as you point out, doesn't many a damn thing.

Point is, the Martell's question A&M when they offer Sears and Kelley while they're out checking out the Buckeyes. We all know a Commitment in football means nothing except... I might go there if nothing better pops so cross your fingers and hold my spot But when Mr. Jr.Travel Ball Coach / Hellicoptor Agent Dad invokes the word LOYAL, he gets put on blast.

This is a prime example of why there should be no recruiting or contact with kids that haven't finished their junior year. It may make it tougher for schools to recruit, but they would adapt. It would also ensure kids don't have much time, so they need to make a solid decision and stick with it.

I get it, completely. Old man's job to teach the meaning and importance of all words, especially one as strong as "commitment". It's a joke, agreed...blast him out. But the word is used as loosely in any non-sarcastic situation I can think of.

There is drama all around this place...top to bottom, left to right. Kevin Sumlin, as one said, to Purdue makes a lot of sense at this point. And let A&M burn as well. Fuck 'em.

Crazy to think JFF got him a look from the NFL, now he's staring down the barrel of going to his alma mater, which is the sewer plug of the Big Ten.

I think Sumlin would do really well for Purdue. They can't get worse and it isn't like they haven't been relevant before. My very first ND live game was at Ross Fade seeing our Irish getting the snot beat of them. We lost by a bunch that year...shit happens, but not any time since.

Sumlin would do wonders for that program. He's good offensive schematically and recruiting...overall program management, discipline and defense on the field isn't so great. On the other hand, we're talking Purdue...I think that is a place where he could thrive.

I could see a Joe Tiller part two type program. Competitive, but definitely a 9 win ceiling.

Purdue has a pretty storied FB program even though it has went the wrong direction since Tiller left. They've upgraded facilities and I believe Morgan Burke has retired or will shortly which should be a boost to the athletics. He was so tight with a dollar bill, he could squeeze $1.10 out of every dollar. I can see Purdue getting turned around pretty quickly.
