Talked to a buddy of mine back in Indy, and mentioned this. He knew already and said he believes he and girl go back aways, maybe HS? Anyone know?

How so?

Not concentrating on field issues? Been happening since time immemorial (The list is endless);

Getting any woman they want? Been happening since time immemorial (see Darwin);

Poking fun at their best girl, while she takes him seriously? (Obviously happening before Darwin, at least since Adam & Eve, if not earlier.)

Maybe the best cliché possible in this situation will happen; young stud faced with the responsibilities of parenthood decides to grow up.

If I am playing football for the ND chasing tail is the last thing I am worried about. He has plenty time to reproduce once he graduates.

I don't know about this. Just b/c he plays football doesn't mean he shouldn't being getting laid. My guess is the majority of the team chases tail. And they posted on twitter, so not like it was some random hook up.

He just didn't jimmy up or it broke...

Best wishes to him. I hope that he can take this as an opportunity to really dedicate himself to his degree and set himself up professionally. I've never heard anything otherwise, but hey, extre motivation never hurt anyone.

When most guys are in their late teens, early 20s; chasing tail is just about the ONLY thing they are worried about....

At least hes taking responsibility for having the kid instead of running away from it like many of these athletes do.

Dude, really? If you play football for ND you prob have to 'chase' very little tail... it finds you I'm sure.

IMO, Notre Dame players should only be focused on football and academics. Any free time should be spent in the film room. I would allow one hour for church on Sundays.

Mass, you filthy Protestant. Don't forget the feast days and bi-weekly confession.

Didn't Shummate have 3 kids? Anyone confirm?

did he really? wow

I remember Slaughter had a kid in the middle of his senior year.

The most ironic was Cierre Wood leaving after his junior year to "provide for his family (he had a kid too)" and then got busted for failing a drug test a few months later :S

To me, Brent answers the slot receiver issue. Like Procise, he could line up in the slot and motion into the backfield or vice versa while maintaining a primary RB on the field.

It would be awesome to see him in jet sweeps.

I wonder if BK has let him out of the doghouse yet?

Reading through some of the other A-Zs we really do have some talent in the cupboards. Getting that athleticism to produce is always a catch but I really hope we see it in the special teams this year. Kids like Boykins and Brent in the open field on KR/PR duties should be fun to watch.
