Go away.
Go away.
Why?
I am not even a fan of the Patriots (the Vikings are my team), what is so bad about pointing out that the NFL completely fucked this one up?

Dang, ya beat me to it. Craziness.
I believe there is another appeals process available. At least that's what the Sports Illustrated sports lawyer is hinting at and has an article coming out ASAP detailing it. So, once again, this story just refuses to die.
I had heard that people following this current appeal thought it likely that the suspension was reinstated, but we will see what goes from here.
Interesting. What were the grounds for the original suspension? That he didn't cooperate? I honestly don't remember.
On May 11, 2015, the NFL announced that it suspended Tom Brady without pay for four games of the upcoming season for his involvement, based on "substantial and credible evidence" that Brady knew Patriots employees were deflating footballs and that he failed to cooperate with investigators.[61] The Patriots were also fined $1 million and lost their first round pick in the 2016 NFL draft and their fourth round pick in the 2017 NFL draft. NFL Executive Vice President of Football Operations Troy Vincent's May 11 letter to Brady stated in part: "Your actions as set forth in the report clearly constitute conduct detrimental to the integrity of and public confidence in the game of professional football."[62] Troy Vincent's letter further stated: "With respect to your particular involvement, the report established that there is substantial and credible evidence to conclude you were at least generally aware of the actions of the Patriots' employees involved in the deflation of the footballs and that it was unlikely that their actions were done without your knowledge. Moreover, the report documents your failure to cooperate fully and candidly with the investigation, including by refusing to produce any relevant electronic evidence (emails, texts, etc.), despite being offered extraordinary safeguards by the investigators to protect unrelated personal information, and by providing testimony that the report concludes was not plausible and contradicted by other evidence." [62]
I'm not a Pats fan but I'd be upset if I was and had to give up a 1st rounder over this. That's such a blow to a team.
Cardinals, Dolphins, Texans, Bills. Patriots go 3-1 with Jimmy G and win the AFC East by Christmas.
Ya, that was the vibe after this hearing. Not many people out there seemed to think it wouldn't get reinstated since Brady's lawyers seemed to have a terrible day and 2 of the 3 judges came in seemingly leading towards siding with Goodell (since they almost have to by law no matter what).
I don't know what the next move is. Both sides have good arguments.
We're on to the Supreme Court?
WTF? The guy makes enough money, he doesn't need to settle on one of those hacks that advertises on Maury and Jerry Springer.
News breaks before NFL draft....hmmmm
Goodell will be booed, but ratings through the roof. Brilliant.

He has one of the best lawyers in the world (Jeffrey Kessler) leading his team, but the guy didn't bring his A game last hearing according to every report from that day.

The explanation I read given by the panel was that Goodell was within his right to handle it the way he did. That's why it was overturned. Apparently this recent time thru the courts had nothing to do with him being guilty. So the appeal wasn't even about his guilt, just of Goodell used his power properly.Interesting. And this is different from what would have happened regardless how???
