Hate just about everything going on with that shirt. Probably will still end up buying one though like other posters have said.

Received my shirt last week, finally decided to wear it yesterday. Anyone else find the fit extremely terrible? I ordered a large (same as last year which fits PHENOMENALLY) and it's just terrible. The neck is way too big and it's all sorts of tight in the hips. It's like it's upside down or something lol. Again, last year's shirt fits perfectly. Did I just get a bad cut or is anyone else noticing similar issues?

For the record, I'm 6'3" and a lean 185# so it's not like I'm trying to fit 10 pounds of manure into a 5-pound bag...

2011.

Sales didn't lag, it's the highest selling shirt to date.

That's actually my favorite "The Shirt," which is strange because I despise this year's version.

The tone of blue was a strange pick in '11, but it at least worked well with the faded Horsemen and the gold font.

This year's blue has no redeeming qualities in terms of the other colors or design.

Have had mine for a week now (haven't worn it, mind. It's bad luck to wear it before the first game) and have seen them all over town.

Oddly... As it does every year.... It's growing on me...

You know the proceeds go to charity, right? You should buy one just to support the school. Make it a shirt for your dog or something. I hate the look of every shirt it seems, but I still buy it every year.

I say the same thing every year but usually end up buying it when I get to the bookstore before a game. Still though, this year looks much worse than the others even. And that's saying something. I thought last year's green was decent.

Or just donate money to the school? FedEx might make as much out of your T shirt purchase as UND.

2011 was great. 2006 is great (though funny in retrospect) and I really like 2010 and last year's as well

For as long as I can remember, it seems like "The Shirt" being an ugly design/color is just as big a tradition as "The Shirt" itself. Do students design them? If so, are they too young to realize that Duke Blue isn't a part of Notre Dame's color scheme?

You'd think they would occasionally get a group of kids with some taste in there.

People need to understand the purpose of the shirt- as some have mentioned, it is a fundraiser essentially. Among other roles, it funds all student clubs and organizations on campus.

If we had the same color shirt every year (like BC), that money would essentially go away. What colors do you want it to be? Navy? Green? Gold? We've had all three of those recently in many varieties (and gold looks awful on a t-shirt).

Just because it is for a good cause doesn't mean they need to make it look like crap every other year

Sooooooooo can anyone speak to the fit of their shirt relative to last year's?

What's wrong with Jerry Faust blue? Anyone remember those unis?

Got mine last week, but haven't tried it on. Not a fan of the color and I think the back is too busy. However, I will wear it once or twice. Then it goes with the rest of my collection. If a school color isn't used maybe try a white, black or gray?

If it's for charity, the smart thing to do would be to make a more appealing shirt.

Now that you all have received your shirts, how would you say it fits?

I though I looked at the brand label and it was similar to the past few years. I do not plan to get "The Shirt" regardless of design until they can actually use a brand with a descent fit. The 2010 adidas shirt I think was the last shirt in memory that actually fit normal. The necks and arm holes are always janky.

Actually, mine fits better this year, but it may be me. I am kind of built like a horse-shoe crab.
