Will be at Blue/Gold game and says he’ll be back on campus a few more times after that
“I’ve already talked to my counselor,” said Wright. “I’ve gotten the coursework I need and all the paperwork started. I just feel like early enrolling will be most beneficial for me and be key for my success on and off the field. It’s going to be great.”

“Me and Cole have a great relationship,” said Wright. “We’re really good friends. I think we’re going to be a great combination at Notre Dame. They use a lot of two-tight end sets and double sets, so we’ll both play. It’s just going to be fun competing with him and getting better alongside him.”

“I thought, considering all the injuries they faced, they competed really hard and had a terrific season,” said Wright. “I think it’s only going to get better. They are going to have a big 2016 season and that will continue in the coming years. I just can’t wait to be a part of it and join the program.”

Love hearing this, plus he won't need to play right off the bat with Alize coming off an all American year and Weishar being a dangerous weapon. Really glad we brought in two rock solid TE's because our depth isn't that great but it's really talented.

Lower body needs work but still going into his senior year and being the best TE in the country I think we got something great to work with. To bad Booker is coaching him

Wonder if this relating to the Blankenship situation and he learned that a spot counting against 2016 numbers might be open, or was this his plan all along?

Might have been the plan all along. He's been committed for so long and I think his parents were looking into lodging up here too. The spot opening up isn't as much of a problem because, well there's always a spot

It was.

I read a Big 3 article last season where he was clearing it with his counselors and then he'd be good to go. Good to hear if this is official or semi official or whatever it is.

It's IE official and that's good enough for me!

Awesome! Brock can have an extra semester to work towards his playing career. This is the best possible move he can make.

#32 overall in espn 300

Alize was #52 with an 86 rating. Brock Wright must be a baller. The two of them on the field, at the same time, makes my lip quiver with phantasmic delight. Not to mention our run game would be bolstered by a defense forced to deal with two players capable of being attached blockers or additional WRs.

Kelly would have a field day with that type of flexibility.

Too bad they can't drop the outlier when calculating the composite.

I'm suuuuper stoked about this kid. I envision a nasty double TE set with Brock attached and Alize split out. VERY difficult to defend and GREAT for a sturdy rushing attack and nifty play action....He could end up like Kyle Rudolph......I loved Kyle Rudolph.
GO IRISH.

If I had to bet, i'd say you'll see very little of this in '17 and I have a solid feeling that AJ is gone after 3. If AJ gets to 50 receptions this year (That's my over for him), I'll put money on him going early.

I think Brock and Cole get held on the side, one for sure - both if at all possible while Weishar, Luatua and AJ handle it in '17. Luatua and Jones are then gone to the NFL.
