As a basketball player from Indiana I can relate to the mystique of Western Pa football. These kids over the decades were an integral part in building the greatest program of the 20th Century. David Adams is the most important guy because he's the biggest fish. Adding him to Josh Lugg and then Hinish, maybe Paris Ford or even CJ Thorpe and the crown jewel in '18 Phil Jurkovec hopefully will follow.

Hopefully Pete Werner will join the LB Corp this summer too.

I'm sure extending an offer to Drew White was easy with this kid in the bag.

Seems like the staff have ID'd the right kids early so far. Let's keep it rolling.

I'd have to see more of him in pass coverage, but does anyone else see Kuechly when they watch his tape? FLYS all over the field and has incredible recognition skills

My sterling record of #NotreDame adding commitments while I’m away from technology carries on. Big pickup in 4-star LB David Adams tonight.

Compared him earlier to former USC Trojan - Chris Galippo (highlights below).

I feel like he's already a bigger, thicker ILB. A real throw back - maybe not elite sideline to sideline speed but a thumper that drives ball carriers back. Also, few if any false steps. Finds the ball through traffic, takes on blocks - he's what you want in an ILB. I think if Galippo wasn't injured so often he would have been a much better player for them.

If there's anyone that ND is after right now that reminds me of Kuechly it's Pete Werner. I know some guys on here were pimping Ethan Tucky as a Kuechly clone but that kid was body long with short limbs and spent a ton of time with his hand in the dirt. Werner is similar is size and build and hits with authority although he may not be filled out to the extent that Adams is. He also seems to have a ton of room to grow, long limbs and a fluidity in his movement/change of direction when he's chasing down ball carriers. He makes it look easy. He likely won't be as good as Kuechly, but I think he'll be a stud.

Kuechly Jr. highlight:

Is there a reason you chose that list of players? I could see David Adams at the top of the board but I don't understand the rest.

Not my list but what don't you like about it? If you can promise me everything but White... I'll take him no questions asked.

Typically our top board guys fall in the top 150 with a few outliers here and there. (see Devin Studstill last year) and the majority of these guys are barely scraping the top 300. Nothing against anyone of them, I'm rarely displeased with a class for ND.

Posting this to give an idea of the Western Pa guys' sizes.

Are you guys feeling okay! Sweaty or the chills? I mean, do you have the fever?

This has been brought up before. But it starts with how good the defense was on their team. Best in any state is awesome, but these guys did a top job against tough competition!

And, more importantly, both Adams, and Hinish have in incredible leg drive, elite quickness, and unbelievable upper body strength. I wonder if it is the conditioning program they are in?

It will be interesting to watch if they are plug-n-play, ready to go when they first hit campus! I could really see that with either of them!

Welcome aboard David, and here is to you being scarier to opponents that the banshee wail!

He may not be elite from side to side, but I'll take a guy that can clog up the middle every play. Makes the jobs of the outside guys that much easier.

Comes from an absolute powerhouse of a school in Central Catholic. Great pickup. ND really pushing hard for the western PA recruits which is always a plus. Congrats Mr. Adams!
