With this performance and a good pro day I could see him going in the first

I think it's a mistake not to take him in the first half of the first round. He has great everything but hands and size. He's a more complete DeSean Jackson who is maybe a bit less explosive. Jackson would obviously have been a top pick in a redraft.

The two cons you listed are big reasons why you might not want to draft him that high.

He does run effortlessly. That is impressive!

Apparently he ran routes well and didn't drop anything at the combine.

That's good but there are dozens of drops in his gametapes that teams will definitely care about. I see him going in the 20-25 range of the first round.

If the Falcons draft him, it proves ND guys can get good, high paying jobs in Georgia.

Still to high for me. Top half a second round I think is right. He has really really small hands.

Understood!

And I don't disagree.

But I just talked to somebody, that just talked to someone in the inside at the university, a former receiver who now works for ND. They had a drag the tight end across the middle, a knee injury, and a Fuller conversation.

About Fuller. This guy understood my friend's point of view, which is similar to yours. But he said if you watch the tapes closely, it is a matter of speed. Will works himself into a bad position, where he has to make an easy catch at an oblique angle, or can't get his hands around because he is already moving.

At ND it was more of a don't mess with a good thing. The pro's will take the time. With ND the deep ball was the payday; the NFL may want an all-around receiver that is a deep threat.

I watched a little tape on his drops and believe I saw what they were talking about. Not on all catches, but on some. And sometimes the ones that looked easiest.

Apparently this is not a problem ESB suffers from, period.

Some wonder what real difference there is between ESB and Will in speed also.

Would love it if the NFL also tested the 100 to measure the time, top speed and length of time it takes to get to top speed.

Someone like Will does serious damage after the 40.

My Eagles can pick up Will at 17 and cobble some of their 11 other picks and move into the second round to get Jaylon as the steal of the draft. Use the rest of the picks on linemen and the Eagles might actually become watchable again.
