Any updates on how he is doing today.
Probably my choice for most underrated recruit in this class.

Had a pick in the game tonight
Notre Dame commitment Jamir Jones made a positive impression on the first day of practice for the Semper Fi All-American Bowl.
Three-star linebacker Jamir Jones hoped to use the Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl to showcase his talents on the national stage.
The 6-foot-4, 225-pounder from Rochester, N.Y., didn’t wait for the game, which will be played at the StubHub Center in Carson, Calif., on Jan. 3. He introduced himself to his teammates with a pick-six and several other big plays during the first day of practice on Wednesday.
“I was in man-to-man (coverage) on the back and as I was running to the flat the quarterback tried to throw a hitch behind me,” Jones said. “I stopped and picked it off.”
Jones drew rave reviews from the Scout.com national analysts on site for his aggressive and physical style of play.
“Practice has been very fun,” Jones said. “The coaches push you just to try your best and learn the scheme. They let us use our own technique though. I just want to get better every day. With all the talent out here I feel like that will push me to keep up and be on my game at all times. I want to represent for my hometown and Notre Dame.”
For Jones competing against many of the nation’s top high school football seniors would be a measuring stick for where he is at prior to heading to South Bend.
His performance on Day 1 provided a boost to his confidence.
“I think I was definitely able to compete with all the talent we had,” he said. “I felt comfortable and able to play my game. I’m just looking forward to competing and representing.”
Four-star running back Khalid Kareem, another Notre Dame commitment, also is participating in the Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl.
Is there any chance he gets a look at tight end now that Luatua is gone?

He's 6'2, 200lbs according to the front page and you wonder if he gets a look at TE? Why not try the long snapper? Or CJ Sanders?
Seriously, we still have Smythe, Alize, Weishar (possibly Hounshell with a 6th?) and two bosses coming next class.
I know we'd ideally have 4 every year but we have three really good TE prospects with a possible 4th. I see no reason to move a player unless they outgrow their current position. I think Jones still needs to grow into an OLB if his stats are accurate.

I believe the guys at ISD think he could be a stud at TE.
Personally I want him on defense. Kid is super athletic, smart and a hard worker. He dominated the Semper game. Kid could be a star at Sam

Mike literally compared him to Shannon Sharpe haha. I'd love that comparison to ring true.I think Mike specifically thinks that. General consensus is that he'll get a good, hard look at D first and foremost.
6'3 seems short for a TE.
6'3 seems short for a TE. And I don't know if he's athletic enough to compete with our current roster. Would he be able to outcompete our 2 TEs in 17?
I won't say it's impossible but I'd really like to see Jamir used on the other side. Our defense needs help but I'll trust the coaches to put him where he can excel.
"We have been familiar with Jamir for a number of years due to the recruitment of his older brother Jarron. Jamir excels at multiple sports and will play linebacker for us. He comes from a winning program and I am confident Jamir will be successful both on and off the field." - BK
