First Harbaugh and now Shaw have made Stanford a very legitimate choice for someone wanting a combination of a first-class education and a top-end football program. Brian Kelly has done the same for Notre Dame. Looking from the outside, it appears Demetris wants to be able to compare the two before making his choice. If he has not yet visited Stanford, it is completely understandable that he would like to see it for himself before making his final choice. The hold-up seems to be his test scores. If his most recent test-taking session gives him the scores necessary to be accepted at Stanford, he needs to take that trip to Stanford so that he can compare it to Notre Dame. He will be making a life-changing decision in the next two to three weeks. He appears to be weighing his options carefully before deciding. Although we would love to have him at Notre Dame, we should be happy for him if he gets the test scores and decides on Stanford. With either choice, he will have an opportunity for a quality education and chance to prove himself a potential NFL player.
