So for a all the scouts on the board, how good is this kid? His ratings indicate that he'd be the highest rated WR since Tate. Is he that type of game changing player?

yea easily that good. Has a sort of percy harvin/stefon diggs type game. However I would say he plays like Golden tate with the deep ball down field.

Wasn't Tate a 3*? Are you meaning Floyd?

Obviously not a scout but yea, he's really that good.

I kind of view him as the Jaylon Smith of WR's. Arguably the best athlete in the country. I do think he fights the ball a bit from what I've seen over the last year plus from a few camps he's attended. Doesn't have the best ball skills around but he's a dynamic player who will change the game in many ways. Truly reminds me of a Will Fuller just more advanced physically coming in and he's more aggressive. He plays with a level of aggressiveness that is fun to watch. Does not shy away from contact.

Obviously I get what you are saying but you just called him the Jaylon smith of wr's. No pressure kid. Clearly a redshirt would be fine with Irish fans.

Not this guy. He won't be redshirting, I will bet you that.

As a HS prospect, he's one of the most dynamic players in the entire country, similar to Jaylon Smith as a HS senior. That was the point, not that he's worthy of a top 10 pick in this years draft. If your goal is to one day be drafted in the 1st rd. then there is going to be a lot of pressure to live up to that. That's just the way it is. Most of the time, athletes look at pressure as motivation, not a crutch to hold on to.

I'd also add Mike Farrell for the most part is a douche but he did a piece where he rated Robertson as the surest thing in this class and I agree. Outside of injury I see very little possibility he doesn't impact the team he chooses in a major way.

Side note: you say that as if there will never be a prospect coming out of HS that is as good as Jaylon. Jaylon is special, no doubt about that. However, there are special players in every class. Demetris is one in the 2016 class.

yea this kid may start. I dont want to get the greg bryant superstar vibe but man is he talented. Also I feel he is a more fluid athlete than Will Fuller is. The kid is a freak. Im legitimately trying to not get too excited.

Which Drob we talking here? I'm assuming the Admiral on the campaign trail for his son, either way interesting use of the name considering the hype on his recruitment.

I would be willing to bet its for this D rob. DK also hastagged for Caleb Kelly previously.

He may start from day one. If he comes to ND that leads to an interesting conversation. Does he jump in on field or short side? What does this do to ESB?

Hunter and Saunders seem to have slot locked.

Boykin will see the field this year, and we may have a couple of tight ends ready; so what position do you see?

Also, it sounds like his meeting with Golden Tate has had a lasting impression. We'll see how much fairly soon

Not gonna say I called it, but...

I'm not sure what driving an equipment truck to Georgia to park in front of the kid's high school is actually supposed to demonstrate...

Now if we could fly Will Fuller, Golden Tate and Michael Floyd in to town...

Tate was the 11th best player in his class, at least according to ESPN. His 85 rating is the highest rated WR in the last ten years. Again this is all from ESPN. I really don't go to other sites. Robertson has the same rating.

With regards to GT being a contender, how does one make an impact as a WR there?

That seems like it would be a terrible, terrible fit.

While it does not seem like an ideal fit for any WR that wants to excel at the collegiate level, they have produced two of the best NFL WR's of recent memory. Calvin Johnson and D. Thomas.

You're pretty much locked in to single coverage (assuming the triple-option is moving the ball on the ground--which it usually is). If you have a QB who can actually throw the ball then a WR can be deadly there.

Demaryius Thomas had 46 catches, 1154 yards and 8 TDs his junior year with Paul Johnson there. More yards than Floyd ever had in a season. Only Fuller this past year has topped that yardage for a ND WR under BK.
