No way he goes to GT. It would be ludacris for him to go there anyone with his talent and GT passes the ball about 5 times of that a game lol.

Calvin Johnson and Demariyus Thomas say its possible.

While Johnson went to GT he played under Chan Gailey I believe, and Gailey ran an offense that passed significantly more than the current GT offense. I think that Thomas is the only high draft pick (WR) that Paul Johnson has produced from GT.

Also Thomas was a Gailey recruit and redshirted his first year (and played his RS FR year under Gailey), who knows if he would have even gone to GT if Paul Johnson was the coach.

ETA: I agree that it is possible for a WR from GT to be successful in the NFL just wanted to provide some background information that is relevant.

That's Jay-Z, he looks like he should hit a treadmill soon. Is Jay-z a GT grad?

who is Jen Vining Smith?

Jennifer Vining-Smith is in her fifth year on the Notre Dame athletics department staff, and third as assistant athletics director for compliance. She joined the Fighting Irish staff in July 2009 after spending the previous two years at the Big Ten Conference. In her current role, Vining-Smith is responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day compliance operation within Irish athletics. She develops, implements and monitors multiple systems and activities for NCAA, Atlantic Coast Conference and University rules compliance. Vining-Smith also provides and documents interpretations of all NCAA and conference rules for the department. She serves as the primary compliance contact for football, women's basketball, lacrosse, soccer, rowing and volleyball in addition to working with areas such as financial aid, high profile athletes, expenses and eligibility.

Vining-Smith is responsible for preparing legislative relief waivers, violation reports and student-athlete reinstatement requests. She also arranges for regular meetings to educate coaches, student-athletes, staff and other support groups on legislative process and current compliance issues.

In addition to her role within compliance, Vining-Smith serves as an administrator for the women's swimming and diving program.

As part of her role at the Big Ten, Vining-Smith served as the assistant director of compliance, where she provided interpretive support to the membership and processed secondary violations. In addition, she managed the league's drug-testing program and served as a liason to the sports medicine subcommittee and the men's swimming and diving coaches.

Prior to her two years with the Big Ten, Vining-Smith spent three years (2004-07) as assistant director of compliance at Northwestern University, preceded by a year (2003-04) as assistant compliance coordinator at Wayne State University. She spent 2002-03 as a compliance intern at the University of Louisville. Vining-Smith is a 2000 graduate of Manchester (Ind.) College, with a degree in athletic training. She earned her master's degree in sports administration from Louisville in 2003.

A native of Mishawka, Ind., Vining-Smith and her husband Jeremy Smith are parents of two sons, Braedyn and Kaleb.

Oh wait, you were figuratively being facetious?

And, in addition to being a snake, Paul Johnson showed his true self on national TV when he had no idea of the name of the kid that won the game against FSU! No idea. Looked like an idiot. The camera never lies.

FWIW, some Georgia fan on Rivals claims it's essentially a three horse race between Georgia, Alabama, and Georgia Tech. He claims that the only pro-ND stuff is solely coming from Robertson's brother.

I'm sure ND would never have taken ND1 out of the garage if they didn't think they were squarely in the race, if not leading it

So the it's brother, who has been his legal guardian for however long, versus the mother, who has only been back in the picture recently.

Such an interesting recruitment.

The guy posted something on the premium Georgia Rivals board to support his claim, but I don't have access. I highly doubt Robertson is seriously considering Georgia Tech.

That is one of those logic things.

If DRob is seriously considering GT, I don't think the Irish staff would be all in on him, not the way they are.

DRob would have to be nuts to go to GT, or paid a lot more than GT bagmen are used to delivering.

Point one : Paul Johnson is a madman. Not in a Belichick sense, not even in a Jim Harbaugh sense, in a truly bad sense. He is a pedantic, petulant, bitch. (No I don't like him, or anything I have heard about him in the last five years.) And he is probably going senile. Talk about a program with instability!

We know that the three five stars we are after have a desire for a program with a stable staff. Why go to a school with a sixty-something coach, who can't remember his players names, and may be on the hot seat on top of everything else?

Point two : Why go to a school that throws the ball five times a game?

Point three : ND would write a kid that at some point expressed interest in going to ND, and changes to select a school that is described accurately by the above listed features.

Point four : GT doesn't have the bagmen that any other school in the south, with the exception of those of Kentucky (football only), and Vanderbilt.

In regards to the Jay-Z:

Jay-Z's Audio Engineer for Rok-A-Fella, Young Guru works at/with GT on a program called EarSketch. Might have something to do with that

...or maybe Jay-Z's just looking for future clients?

anyways

One school drives equipment truck in front of recruits house, ESPN tweets it may be a violation.

Same recruit takes picture with sports agent on OV to another school... Crickets.

Do the math.

I didn't know Jay-Z worked with a Rockefeller. I guess he's moving up in the world.

I cannot fathom a reason why a person who has claimed to have no aversion to leaving his state to choose either GA or GT over ND. This is Darwin Award material.

$1B and counting.

There's only one Rockefeller with more than that and he's 100 and born with a decided schematic advantage.
