More positive statements from Wiltfong today regarding Demetris and his famly's thoughts on ND. Sounds like they are sold on the academic side of things and this next month or so will be about talking up the football aspect of ND. Focusing primarily on NFL success of players under this staff.

So it's a win over UGA and Bama in academia, a loss to Stanford.

A loss to UGA and Bama in player success in the NFL and perhaps a win vs Stanford.

Here's hoping he prefers the balance at ND but I think this kid will be successful no matter which school he picks.

From a football standpoint I think we are probably ahead of both UGA and Stanford as we are producing better WR's than Stanford and UGA's offense has looked pretty dreadful for WR's to play in recently. Also, it sounds like he'll take an OV to Bama but Saban already used his in-home visit where BK hasn't.

Side note from that Rivals nugget yesterday. Andrew Ivins said that he's aware of what Demetris has said or been quoted as saying about UGA to Georgia sports writers and the family feels that a lot of his quotes or conversations are being mislead. So, we take it as lip service that he says all these nice things to ND writers and then turns around and says the same to UGA writers as well, that may not be completely true.

At this point I am just gonna sit back and wait. Its hard to keep up with what is being reported and where everyone is situated. I assume BK will try to get an in-home last with DR? That's got to work out great for us I think.

I think ND has put itself in the best situation it could have expected to be in with this kid. Hopefully its enough to win out.

I get what you mean but they are signing Eason and have put some real studs in the league. I think Fuller leaving (vacating the number 1 role) could help convincing him that he could make an immediate impact.

per wiltfong Robertson's camp has stated the following "*Notre Dame is the best academic decision "

the staff will now work the angle of how we are sending kids to the pro's and especially hammer the WR position of note

mentioned he hasn't heard anything from stanford's end on pushing for him yet

was the top wr there at army all american bowl and likely a top 3 player overall...

and could end the year as a top 10 overall player by 247 on final ranking

ALSO OF NOTE---Saban used his in home visit....BK will use it at the end...however there was some talk(rivals maybe) that he MAY NOT use his official at bama

Still not buying it. I refuse to let myself get suckered in here.

I agree with GoIrish41... I'd lose my mind if he picks us. He's by far my #1 want of the players left on the board.

im not getting my hopes up either HOWEVER if by chance... my gosh...he was basically avg 50 yards on kickoffs in the army game and showed that initial burst, wiggle, vision and then even more acceleration...

This is on the knife edge of becoming a prayer thread or a food thread.

This screams heartbreak hotel.

Yup. Not even thinking we have remotely a shot at him, for my own sake. If he picks us...party time. If he doesn't, I won't even give it another thought because you can't miss what you can't have.

That's not how Koon thinks.

Loy is optimisitc. Said he genuinely doesn't see him changing his CB prediction before NSD (currently CB'd to the good guys).

There should be fried chicken with that waffle!

I love fried chicken and waffles.

One of my favorite other pairings is using leftover bbq pork or chicken on a waffle with bbq sauce with some extra maple syrup added.

Maybe talent wise but not sure if he's polished enough outside of the straight go route for BK to trust him enough for him to get meaningful time as a freshman

He'd get meaningful time even without the polish. He's such a playmaker that you find ways to get him the football.
