Rip Lemmy. You were a true rock icon and legend. I am glad to have met you and see several of your shows.

All about the Eagles tonight my friends.

My favorite track...and one I love to play and sing myself.

The Gloaming is a contemporary Irish music supergroup formed in Ireland in 2011 consisting of musicians Martin Hayes, Iarla Ó Lionáird, Caoimhín Ó Raghallaigh, Dennis Cahill and New York pianist/producer Thomas Bartlett aka Doveman.

For any of you guys that like Irish music this is definitely worth a listen. Their self titled album is simply a piece of art.

Samhradh, Samhradh (Summer, Summer) is traditionally sung on the Pagan festival Day of Bealtaine (May 1st) the herald the coming of the summer.

For those of you that don't know, this puppy is filled with several songs that have been famously covered over the years. "Call Me the Breeze", "After Midnight", and "River Runs Deep"; all the other songs are fantastic as well. Melts blues, country, folk and rock together magnificently.

It's all about Merle Haggard for me...has been for the past year.
I've referred to him as my spirit animal for the past 6 months.

As a performing musician...he has been my absolute favorite artist to cover. A true American music legend.
"Sing Me Back Home"
"The Running Kind"
"Rambling Fever"
Among many others...

So many more.

Sad day for me. I'm bummed.

I'm listening to the soon-to-be-release Grateful Dead tribute album "Day of the Dead".

So far covers by Courtney Barnett, The War on Drugs, Phosphorescent/Jenny Lewis, The National and Bruce Hornsby/DeYarmond Edison are on Youtube. Definitely worth a listen.

I hope they put on a good show for you. Haven't heard good things about "Fat Axel and The Guys Who Aren't Slash" recently.

Slash is with them, homie. It's the same lineup they had with Duff.

Axl is still fat tho.

And no Izzy...the heart and soul of that band when they made music worth listening to.
No Adler/Sorum.
No Dizzy Reed.
No Gilby Clarke.

This is the Slash and Perla Divorce Settlement Tour

My favorite band growing up...probably my top influence as a musician early on. Especially the riffs and lyrics that Stradlin wrote.

And yes.
Axl, is still fat.

Have always intended to get deeper into Cale's music and just haven't gotten there yet...

While it wasn't as good as other Clapton works from the last 20 years, The Road to Escondido was enjoyable.

Cranking Little Red Corvette. Just left Prince's "Piano and a Microphone" tour at the Fox Theater here in ATL. Incredible talent. Guy's voice is stronger than in the 80s if that's even possible.
