i didnt see unbreakable kimmy schmidt mentioned anywhere, but I thought it was funny as hell, written by Tina Fey I think.

Yeah Kimmy Schmidt is great.

Finally finished How I Met Your Mother recently. Currently on season 5 of Parks and Rec and I am also slowly getting through Friends.

My list of shows that I need to watch is pretty much endless right now

Marco Polo is an awesome Netflix original, really cool show about an often overlooked part of history.

The quality of TV shows >>>>>> quality of movies in the last few years IMO. It's no coincidence that prominent actors are taking lead roles on tv shows. There are so many great shows I can't even keep up with them all.

It's weird because the movies are never new releases and they are constantly changing. This thread would be a great place to put the gem movies we do find on Netflix though, right?

I saw Oldboy (the original, not the crappy Josh Brolin knockoff) and was blown away. It's in subtitles, but I honestly didn't notice it after about five minutes. It also has one of the most twisted endings of any movie i've ever seen.

Oddly, the movie Snowpiercer was really good too.

I think he just meant in general TV has been better than movies, unrelated to Netflix.

That movie is phenomenal! Such an amazing adaptation of the source material. That was easily one of my favorite movies of 2013. I was lucky enough to see it in theaters. My wife and I went in knowing nothing about the film and were absolutely blown away.

Original Oldboy and Snowpiercer are excellent. Definitely two of the best movies available on Netflix.

Yes. That show is one of the most consistently funny sitcoms ever. So many shows start off hilarious like Modern Family or the Middle and then just do nose dives in quality. Sunny might actually be getting better as it goes along because the characters are getting so deranged at this point. Season 10 is also amazing once they add it to Netflix in January. S10E04 is called "Charlie Work", it's one long tracking shot made to mimic Birdman, and it's all from the perspective of Charlie. It's probably my favorite episode in the series, definitely top 5.

Just realized none of us have mentioned The West Wing. That show is fantastic.

Has anyone talked about "a very murray christmas?"

It's only one episode, but it's a doozy.

I hate fucking Christmas, but this actually put me in the spirit.

Urgh, Vikings. Not saying it's a terrible show because I haven't seen more than 20 minutes of it, but when I watched for those 20 minutes there was some terrible acting takin place.
